I will be voting for a socialist party at the next election, not sure which one though. None of the the two right wing parties that dominate interest me.

When Labour came to power in 1997 it was my last year of school.

What a moronic reason for voting tory, 'lets do it just for a change'. I suspect if you had worked during the tories last 19 year reign you wouldn't say that.

Providing the world doesn't end in 2012 then of course we'll see another Conservative government.

Fatigue is a global problem for parties who have occupied power for 10 years plus and is not easy to combat, therefore change WILL occur.

What annoys me about the Tories is their lack of coherent vision or creation of new, radically different policies. They are offering very little in the way of change and will do little more than tinker. Will crime, drugs, NHS, education REALLY change that much under Cameron?

Labour yesterday admitted cannabis should not have been downgraded from B to C and will change it back. This issue is microcosm of how the politicians haven't got a clue, and I'm fed up with namby-pamby approaches to the big issues of the day.

It's almost as if they've given up and admitted the economy is run by the USA and our day-to-day laws are run by Brussels so there's bugger al anyone in the UK can do about it.

I believe that Cameron would have ended up going to war with Iraq if presented with the same circumstances as Blair because the Tories had the same 'lapdog' relationship with the USA.

I hope that Brown has the balls to move closer to Europe and away from the USA and end this bastardised "special relationship" that we no longer enjoy in reality.

The USA have f***ed us over on Afghanistan and Iraq and now with these subprime mortgages, failure to act decisively etc. I'm sure Obama will get in and do better, but the Republican machine is so strong they will always be there wielding power and influence.

The problem with blue boy bushy is that his original post slagged of Labour for the very same things the Tories get upto.

As for his comments regarding the NHS and Education, shorter waiting lists, are one thing but there is more capital investment in hospitals than before and especial more capital investment in schools that were falling down. Another thing about the NHS is that it will always cost more as more and more treatments are used and more complicated and expensive procedures are used to save lives. Of course, we could save billions by the Tories just closing down the NHS.

I don't want Cameron... maybe if they had someone else. I don't think That twat will ever become the Prime Minister; frankly, he's a wanna be Tony Blair. As for George Osbourne, has anyone been as clueless to what direction thay are going in? Left or Right, make up your mind! All Social policy and hug a hoody when they think that will win them votes; then all Lassez Faire when they think that will win them votes. Why can't polititions just tell us what their policies are, instead of messing the public around!

- the economy in recesssion There is a World recession, as one of the major economies it would have taken a miracle, and not just fiscal planning, for us to avoid it
- inflation at 5.2% - it's highest since 1992 Inflation is predicted to fall back during 2009 and may even go negative by the middle of the year
- billions wasted in schools and hospitals on politically motivated targets There is a rebuilding programme underway at present, all senior schools will be rebuilt/refurbished by 2015, would the Tories continue with this?


Surely, not even Dave Cameron's Tories can do worse than this? We still don't really have a clue what Chameleon Dave's Tories stand for!

So, the 'establishment' devised a plan, that may or may not have originated from Brown/Darling - no-one apart from those on the inside can say where the plan originated from, however GB has a track record of taking the plaudits when things appear to be going well, and the disappearing faster then a snowman in a heatwave when things are getting tricky.

However, just because things have 'stabilised' at the moment, it's a huge assumption to make that this has resolved the crisis in the financial markets. I fear there is a lot more shit to come our way, and the economy is going to go through a rough time over the next few years.

When the election comes, the country will be in recession and unemployment rising.

I am fairly certain that the next government will be Tory.

Have to agree with that, can't believe that some good work over the last week or so is going to rescue a situation as grave as this for Labour. Cameron will be the next PM and I imagine he'll just be worse.
