NSC undergoes a sea change!

Wikipedia editors have voted to ban the Daily Mail as a source for the website in all but exceptional circumstances after deeming the news group “generally unreliable”.

The move is highly unusual for the online encyclopaedia, which rarely puts in place a blanket ban on publications and which still allows links to sources such as Kremlin backed news organisation Russia Today, and Fox News, both of which have raised concern among editors.

Wikipedia – an unplanned miracle

The editors described the arguments for a ban as “centred on the Daily Mail’s reputation for poor fact checking, sensationalism and flat-out fabrication”.

The Wikimedia Foundation, which runs Wikipedia but does not control its editing processes, said in a statement that volunteer editors on English Wikipedia had discussed the reliability of the Mail since at least early 2015.

It said: “Based on the requests for comments section [on the reliable sources noticeboard], volunteer editors on English Wikipedia have come to a consensus that the Daily Mail is ‘generally unreliable and its use as a reference is to be generally prohibited, especially when other more reliable sources exist’.

Isn't Gove's wife a columnist in the Daily Heil?
This could be his final chance, if Johnson is despatched.

I've no idea what she is. But ultimately, yes, I'd rather have Boris than Gove (and OK, yes, that is a bit like choosing between Alzheimers and cancer).

We need something to replace our clap for carers which is an appreciation for the NHS with somethings which shows our disdain and anger for the cabinet, PM and Cummings. Any ideas?! Every Thursday (or another day) at 8 we all.....?

Next time anyone in the UK has Child Care issues. Just drop the kids off in Durham .

A million abandoned children should get the point across.

Cummings mother is now complaining that nobody has recognised that Dodgy Doms uncle had died in 5th of April , and the family were grieving.

His uncle died in Westminster Hospital, Chelsea.

Why don't they just stop digging?

I really don't think so.

I fully expect the strategy will be to go on the attack
The rhetoric will be to start shaming the journalists going after a man trying to do his best in extraordinary times.

he's already done that by telling the journalists they need to socially distance whilst walking at them and ignoring their questions.

The sheer histrionics over this story is all or nearly all about Remainiacs pouncing on the first slip up by the man who orchestrated Brexit to crucify him.

Ha, ha, you couldn't be more wrong. It's been the ERG wing of the party grumbling for weeks particularly about the lock down.

If you thought those in politics who wanted out of the EU are a unified group, you are on cloud nine.

Steve Baker hates Cummings, Cummings hate Farage, Farage hates Cummings. Farage spends half his time on LBC slagging off Boris.

Most of the Tory MPs deeply distrust Boris, but they have to go along with because the members love(d) him. When he loses their paper (The Mail), he is in trouble.

The fact remains Cummings is the antichrist to ardent remainers and they are very much a part of the baying pitchfork wielding mob that are frothing at the mouth. Wallowing in the outrage, it is remarkable.

And the Daily Mail and The Times of course.

You really need to get over Brexit.

What complete sh1t. This has naff all to with Brexit, Its about the government treating us like plebs, telling us to do one thing while doing the complete opposite. People bought into this we are all in this together message and did what they thought was right despite making lots of sacrifice by sticking to the rules. Boris may as well just come out and stuck two fingers up an left again, it was a bloody insult listening to that drivel.

So apart from the law he has already broken, what law would he have to break for it not to be blamed on his Brexit history? Perhaps one he didn’t help author?

Truth is, Brexiteers would forgive him anything because he engineered Brexit. Makes one wonder about the moral fibre of people who are trying to play this down.

There is of course a strong possibility that something is being withheld that if not excuses Cummings actions, explains it.

The Prime Minster alluded to a "medical" matter.

That being said, the Prime Minister clearly values the privacy of his closest ally over the health of the public at large in the middle of an international health crises.

For that reason alone he called it wrong.
