The RNLI have said tonight that some supporters have withdrawn their support.

Funny thing is, they were openly rescuing migrants last year, nothing has changed. Other than Nige talking about it.

But things HAVE changed , they're bringing more time wasters (economic migrants )ashore, let's not get engulfed with the small virtue signal brigade

No, he is very careful, but the message did include something along the lines of "People are wondering, is this something I want to give money to?". It's one of his tricks, don't say it outright, don't claim it as your own opinion, just say "People are wondering".

The implication is, you, the listener/viewer should be thinking twice before donating. I am glad you seem to disagree with him, and do not need to think twice about donating to the RNLI, but I wish you could see through his veil too.

I’ve watched the opinion piece twice now, the bit you mentioned about thinking twice is the only bit where may have a point, depends on how you see that. The RNLI are a fantastic set of volunteers, at the moment they are being used to aid and abet criminal activity, they are actively assisting people smuggling and modern day slavery. If a lorry driver gets caught with criminals in his/her lorry at Dover, they get heavily fined..

Strange contradiction how on the one you hand you donate money to the RNLI but on the other you imply that the volunteers should be treated the same as people smugglers/modern day slavers as they are 'aiding and abetting criminal activity' by simply rescuing people in need at sea.
