The trouble at the Chesterfield game which then led to the AMS being introduced was partly caused by Derby fans buying tickets in the away end not our "top boys" being "up for it".

Pretty sure the AMS was brought in after Aldershot. And you are WAAAAAY off the mark with the Derby comment.

Where did you get that info? Wikipedia?

exactly. This country has been like this for years. Every time on the news in the 80s when England fans went on the rampage, everyone in the media would tut tut, people would go 'birch them' over their paper at breakfast, when inside the entire country was secretly thinking 'excellent!' when a European town got wrecked.

Just face it. This country loves a row at the football, almost as much as it likes hypocrisy.

you, and a fair few others on here as so f***ing CHILDISH it's unbelievable sometimes.

Can't you all get together and stab yourselves in the face or something and leave the rest of us to get on with being normal?

We'll all promise to think you're all really hard and proper f***ing working class. Not like the rest of us.

I went to that game at Saltergate. The AMS was brought in after this game when the club realised how lax the ticketing was for Albion away games. Ask Brighton fans who came back on the train afterwards and they'll all tell you about the Derby crew.

So when is standing up and swearing the same as needlessly smashing in somebodies face you have never met before just because they happen to be walking in front of you.

I bet trawling through you tube is better than porn for you today

I think your point is that we can't have atmosphere at the football unless it involves a bit of mindless violence that happens to terrorise people who have no interest in that at all.

And it's a point that is brilliantly made here. Thanks for telling us like it is. It obviously follows that anyone who is outraged by mindless violence also likes to tell stewards about people who swear.

Seems both sides are claiming the result, be great if West Ham came along on Friday

Always happens, firms claiming to have had the other lot on their toes. It looked more like street ballet on the telly. A sad sign of the times, even hoolies can't fight nowadays

My memory is not that great so I'll take your word for it.

I will. Do you have names and addresses for these heroes that braved the chuffer?

f*** me catch up will ya.... the point is some people like football to be boring, civilised, entertainment like the theatre - some prefer there to be a bit of an edge.

palace away couple of years back when we won 1-0 was great, not too much trouble but electric atmosphere and always on the look out for it to explode.

and i have enough animal porn to keep me going for today thanx :dunce:

think you'll find it was a "pre-arranged" meet pal which means to me, if you're there, you're there because you want a f***ing scrap? whats the problem?

if you are total;ly distugsted at these awful scenes then like i say you guys crack on going to withdean and enjoy a friendly pint in the sportmans before sitting on your arse for 90 mins clapping and cheering the jolly chaps on the pitch to victory.

there is a massive part in the game for people like you, which is f***ing GREAT...but you cant argue there is ALSO a part in the game for hooligans to kick shit out of each other - its been going on for f***ing years and altho much less these days its still there.

Plenty of football matches I have attended provide an electric atmosphere without any need for grown men to challenge any and every rule whether its stewards, police or oposition fans.

Please explain why it is essential to have a fight to enjoy yourself in the 21st century, oh and also why is it impossible to have a conversation without feeling the need to swear to put a point across.

Maybe it was the way I was brought up.
