One of Mel B's many catchphrases on the GENIUS programme that is Bo Selecta.

"She's posh as FOOK, I'm common as MOOK!"

In my computer
I wanted to see how my computer looked from the inside...

Wrong thread sorry - my user name is homage to one Ted E. Bare - a puppet of the great David Strassman!

The name of DEATH's horse according to Terry Pratchet.

All of my computers at home have the names of Pratchet characters.
Binky is the one I use, so the name is easy to remember.

The other computers are called -
Luggage - File server
Nanny Ogg - Web server
DEATH - Modem server
Ptortoise - Broadband Firewall
Pestilence - Family Games computer
Famine - Wifes computer
Susan - Daughter #1 computer
... Daughter #2 renamed her computer to Cinders, but is reconsidering a Pratchet related name.

OK.
I've gone a bit over the top there and killed the thread.
Disregard everything I've said about computer names.

My name is Binky. I am DEATH's horse.

saaf of the water
Of all the games I saw in the Glory Years of the mid/late seventies, the one against Walsall when we scored 7 goals in the second half stands out.

It was PISSING down, and Mullery sent the players back out after only a couple of minutes in the changing rooms, so poor had the first half been.

We scored all 7 in the secound half in the South stand. Great. Only I was in my usual spot half way back, just to the right in the North Stand.

The goalscorers that wonderful evening were as per my username.

As an aside, wern't evening games in the 70s BRILLIANT - who else remembers the Ipswich League Cup game and the Derby game too?

Way out west
Mine is as homage to the mascot we used to have at the Goldstone, I kept posting on here how we should get a replacement...lo and behold, it finally happened. Have changed my name slightly to reflect where I was living at the time I posted, started as McGully in Edinburgh then Van der Gully in the Netherlands and finally just plain Gully when I found my current perch in glorious Gloucestershire.

You have a modem server? What do you do with it in this day and age?

We have one (well, 4, actually...) in work for claims transmissions from pharmacies using the antique versions of our software but I've not seen one outside of work in YEARS.
