To be fair though, practiacally every Muslim is called Mohammed.

That's why Muslim males have two names ie Mohammed Ali. So three boys in a family could be Mohammed Mustapha, Mohammed Ali, Mohammed Abdul.

When I worked in the Gulf it seemed like there were only about a dozen guy's names.

Bit like it used to be here about 100 years ago. We moved on, got a bit more imaginative, but over the past 20 years or so it's gotten stupid with some of the most embarrassing names, particularly for girls.

I always thought "Jack" was an abbreviation of "John", even though it's the same length. John F Kennedy was known as "Jack" by his nearest and dearest. They called his dad "shitcnut"
