As I said, do everyone a favour and take your trade elsewhere. You're perfectly entitled to, plenty of other clubs and choices out there. Or are you saying Brighton/football should be a special case?

Except the club is in my blood so you don't just pick another team, or is this the new socialist mantra ?

It's not in your blood is it? It's just a belief you hold quite dearly and value and because of this you feel it's a commodity which should be exempt from the regular rules of the free market. Now that's socialism.

What did you do at Withdean with the 'forced' travel voucher Beach Hut?

Did you take the club to court then?

not suprised that this is happening as at the moment some people are basically travelling by train for nothing.which probably incures a cost to the club as each person is counted onto and off the trains.

Excellent pile in lads and lasses.

No I didn't as it was an inclusion with the Withdean move however things sensibly changed with the move to Falmer.

If you think this through there will quite a few fans who will oppose this - those that walk or use a free bus pass, those who did what the club asked and come by bus and those that pay to park.

Why should they all have to pay for a travel voucher as well when not using it ?

I agree and Southern Railway should check the tickets, not hard to do just two people at Brighton and four at Falmer and penalty fare those that do not pay - people might buy a voucher then.

because a large proportion of the crowd have taken the piss out of the travel voucher system.

Err why not, SR has every right to do this but will not staff accordingly - would make loads of revenue as well

as i have said already the club pay for everyone who uses the train so southern do not need to provide staff ,its the club that loses out because fans take a free ride.

Buses and trains between Brighton and Lewes already have swipe card technology up and working

Why should they all have to pay for a travel voucher as well when not using it ?

It depends how you look at it. There are lots of services the club provide on match days which we don't all use and which we either pay for, or subsidise, via our match ticket cost. This travel proposal will be one of a few. Just live with it. It makes for a better club and match day experience.

So the deal is SR just advise the club how many people used the train and the club pay them - they could be making the numbers up.

What ? How does having to pay for something you don't need make it a better match day experience ?

What else do we subsidise we might not use ?

If you have seen the queues and crowds at Brighton, or the volume of supporters jumping off at Falmer, then you will know this is unworkable.

As I travel to most games by train I have and as people are filtered through it would actually be quite easy to do with around 10 odd Revenue Protection people set up at the side to Penealty Fare each person and if they missed the start of the game it might teach them a lesson.

I subsidise numerous disabled facilities I do not use, reductions on children's tickets, some stewards I don't need or use ( why should the well behaved pay for stewards and police?).

Going back to the OP , are we putting the cart before the horse ? Is the current travel voucher scheme being revamped for next season ? Why have a book of travel vouchers when they can be added onto a smartcard ? By the start of next season the BHAFC smartcard will be integrated into B&H Buses and Southern Railways system.
