It's a 3-5-2 which utilises all our best players.

Left sided problem solved. Joe Cole on the bench ready to replace any of the central midfielders.

World Cup.

Its coming home.

Wake up Sven. Play this line-up and it's ours.

End of.

Robinson

terry ferdinand carragher (or Campbell)

wright-phillips Beckham Gerrard Lampard A Cole

Swap Woodgate (if fit) for Carragher, and Parker for Becks. Might get to the semis with that

Having seen a little of the Brazil qualifier it looks like they are back at their best again, a shoe in for winners of the World Cup in my book.

if you are to play a 3-5-2 Then either Lampard or gerrard have to be dropped because you have to hav a holding midfield player....like carrick or parker...

as 3 centre backs you could pick from terry ,king, rio, sol, carragher and hopefully woodgate comes to full fitness

If you sit down and analyse it the system that suits our best players would be 3-5-2.

At a stroke you solve the left-hand side crisis by using Ashley Cole at what he does best, which is surging up and down the left.

Anyone who says 4-4-2 cannot sort the left sided problem, while 4-5-1 means dropping Owen or Rooney which is unthinkable.

Or putting Rooney in the left forward role which he plays for Man U.

he doesnt play their....his position is in the hole left by the striker ....owen especially pushes on the last defender so much that rooney comes shorty to pick the ball up with space to run into....he i s left, right or down the middle...

Well Man U bascially play a pretty similar formation to Chelsea, but give Rooney a free role to float about where he wants and get in dangerous areas.
