ur speaking a tiny bit of sense, duno wot world ur mates in, IMO Terry is a better defender and in other peoples opinions it seems to be the case aswell, just saying. he will earn more caps than campbell by the end of his career.

You maybe right. But I can see Sven looking at a partnership of Woodgate and Rio for Euro 2008. But we shall see.

as good as woodgate is he will be plagued with injuries for the rest of his career i fear.

It's a 3-5-2 which utilises all our best players.

Left sided problem solved. Joe Cole on the bench ready to replace any of the central midfielders.

World Cup.

Its coming home.

Wake up Sven. Play this line-up and it's ours.

End of.

Robinson

terry ferdinand carragher (or Campbell)

wright-phillips Beckham Gerrard Lampard A Cole

Rooney Owen
Who wins the ball in midfield there? 3 attack minded players.

I think Terry is maybe lacking just a yard of pace needed at international level too.

I don't think there's much to choose between Terry, Campbell or King and, frankly, I've got no strong feelings because whoever we pick we'll be strong. The problem is still down the left of midfield and geting the right mix in midfield.

3-5-2 was the way to go but Sven's not interested. Only Rooney can take us all the way, we need to play him in his best position of just off the striker in the hole and give him the ball all the time.

But then when Terry was being touted as this great young talent he never got a look in whilst players like Woodgate did.

If fit I expect Sven will go with Campbell and Rio and hopefully use Woodgate as the back up.

But the fact is of those 3, 2 will be injured so we will be put through another of Terry's concentration lapses in the quarter finals.

write woodgate was better than anyone when he was at leeds/newc........he really has the most talent from all of them but woodgate didnt get that many caps and lets face it he is gonna break down again its just a matter of time.

Campbell has had his day.....look he couldnt get on the pitch for arsenal in the last 8 games of last season.....senderos did!!!

You will realise.......id pretty much go with what the media and football pundits say that he is probably the best defender england have write now.

a true footballing centre back.

Campbell.......gets ball row z........runs kicks ball row z.......

ball comes to him loads of space who does he pick out row z

Why will I realise Garth?

Having watched both Campbell and Terry play for England, from what I have seen first hand, Campbell is the better bet, simply because he can defend consistently. So please do not tell me what I will realise.

we will see at the world cup Terry will shine like he has the last 2 seasons....no doubt.

he can pass he brings the ball out he doesnt panic he isnt that slow.

campbell just lumps it foward isnt comfortable on the ball and reallty aint all that.

their isnt even a need to argue as he is never fit anyway.

and what sort of arguement is campbell has more caps than terry . course he is going to hes been around for about 7/8 years before terry

like he did in euro 04 :nono:

Doubt it, lack of pace and concentration mean that Terry is not up to it. At the end of the day the team he plays in for Chelsea is probably better than England, so his flaws are better covered than they are in the international game.

Eventually you might see that.

OKAY we will see im not telling you what you will see by the way im sayin you probably will see him shine it the world cup...

thats what i think thats why i said you will see.

Okay but didnt he get in the top 3 defenders in the champions league last year.

Yes.........he was awesome then....didnt see much of samuel etoo...who is lightening.

It comes back to playing in a settled and very talented side. Sometimes players do not look as good for England. John Barnes? Ian Wright? Defeo?
