I hate needles, I had a proper melt down the last time I had to have an injection.

Can't wait for this one (two). Came on to this thread for any crumb of comfort and got the news the we've all been waiting for. I'm also loving the fact Hancock reads NSC, I mean what other possible explanation is there for asking us all to Hold The Nerve?

Israel have vaccinated 7.5% of population already - small, richer countries vaccinating a high proportion quickly will give us invaluable data on what level of protection is needed.

I'll correct my earlier post. It's just been put at around about 70% effective after day 22 with a further jab needed within 3 months to increase the length and strength of protection. This from the press conference on Sky News.

Indeed. This is excellent news. I posted on another thread that my boss and his CEO are Israeli. Both in their early 50s and both vaccinated already. Their government is confident they will be back to normal very soon.

I had to have a conversation with an 84 year old customer today from Glasgow, an absolutely lovely widowed lady who upon chatting to her told me she'd served for many years in The WRAC's. After sorting things out for her, she went on to say upon us chatting, that last year she'd personally met the The Queen and shook her hand at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace to commemorate 100 years of women serving in HM Armed Forces. After a further amazing chat about that with her, I was told unequivocally at the end of the call as we said our farewell's to 'stay safe and have a happy new year because we're all going to get through this'.

She's right.

Hastings and Rothers reported numbers are down thanks to no Christmas. First time we have been down for ages.

And at last Bexhill had its first vaccination today.

Not really down to no Xmas ..as there is a lag thing.....but that is good news..well done

Just the one in Bexhill? :D

I went there for a day out at the end of February ...afternoon tea in that lovely building on the seafront just before all hell was to break loose

Wow. Israel now at nearly 10% vaccinated already.

They're really not messing around are they? Very happy for them.
