The same as every other club in the country, to have a team that matches the size of the support. Man United expect to win the Premier League and Rochdale expect to be in the lower leagues. Expectation is that mid table top flight is par for the Albion and we have in the last 100 years never even reached par.

Fair enough - we have once under Mike Bailey then we sacked him the following season. The football was dire but we did achieve mid table mediocrity in the top flight.

For most of that hundred years the expectation was never of top flight football! Mostly we were excited about getting out of the third division (by whatever name you choose to call it).

How can par be something that you have not achieved, or not be near on average? Are Brighton the 10th best supported team in the country?

Eastenders catch up

Even the DS players think the game is pretty dire

I don't think he should find it so amusing.
He needs to concentrate on getting in the team, he isn't even good enough for people to find so boring they would rather watch eastenders instead!

Priorities mr development striker.

and the players promptly got the club relegated shortly after. You support the Albion despite the players, not because of them sadly. It would be must to achieve par never mind over achieve for once
