Wouldn't surprise me. I saw a photo of the Olympic site this week (showing the roof being erected for the swimming complex) and spotted what seemed 2 of our big cranes there.

I love the fact that there is a person (almost) looking at the camera at 1615!

He was there at 1600 too - I wonder if he intentionally wanted to get on the webcam?

If you're gonna skive off for 15 mins, and just hide on the edge of the site, armed with a cuppa .... don't do it in front of the webcam.

He's actually one of the crane drivers. He's probably hanging around, thinking he's going to get paid for drinking tea at the end of the shift

You can see that the wires that raise and lower the crane are showing as very elongated. It looks like the crane has been lowered. Either because it's in use or for safety reasons in the wind.

8.30 and 8.45am show it being lowered.

Apparently, it's going to take a month to excavate the West Stand area. They have to go down quite a bit further than ground level because a basement level is going in.

Don't know when that month started though.

Went up there yesterday and the amount of earth they are moving into the opposite field is crazy. A constant fleet of trucks.

Starting to take more shape now!!
