NSFG - Murray signs for palace

Well i do know people from within the club who let me know pieces of info as you will see from early on last week when i stated Murray had completed a medical and signed for us so have every reason to believe what im told.

I think it's common knowledge that Danns is likely to be leaving us, albeit, not 100% and he is having one final chat with the chairman this week and a final decision will be made, hence why we are yet to publish our retained and un-retained list, we are still trying to get a deal done with him, but i will admit very unlikely, but if we did persuade him to stay would be a massive signing.

Clyne, still under contract for another year, we have no desperate need to sell and the club have already said it would have to a big offer for us to consider selling and we can take the risk of letting his contract run down as we would still be entitled to a decent amount of compensation due to his age, so not definite at all that he will be sold.

Ambrose, again has been linked with QPR but that is just pure newspaper speculation, i personally dont think they will be wanting him now, and again if he was sold that would be under Dougie's approval and nothing else, so again no indication that he will be sold. Ambrose if fully fit could be lethal for us again next season.

James Vaughan is still a big target for Palace, Dougie wants to get a deal done, James has already said he wouldnt have any problem playing for Palace again next season on a permanent basis, i think the only thing that will stop this is if a Premiership club show interest. If they dont, then Palace will be his likely destination.

So in theory none of the players are definately off, Danns is the most likely to go, if Clyne and Ambrose were to be sold then as a club i would imagine we would be looking at an amount of around £4-5 million to re-invest from the value sale we would get for them.

Have to say Dave, I think JV will be on Brum's radar now, if that's the case, he'll end up there.
Agree re: Danns, think he is defo off, Clyne also a possibility, but think DA is going nowhere unless a decent bid comes in.

What's all the fuss about?
Why so upset by this?
Most of you don't rate him (all of a sudden) and lets face it, your going to sign bigger and better..........you've all ready started by signing *snigger* WILL *snigger* HOSKINS.......

Hoksins is in the same ball park as Murray mate. Neither proven in the Championship. It's natural we are pissed off and some people say stupid things like "oh he is shit anyway". You would do the same if we nicked Ambrose or Danns off you on a free. Well done you signed Murray. No piss off and go play with the chavs in Croydon.

Also, i think it goes to show just by some hatred replies about him how much and highly you regarded him as a player!

I think deep down your gutted you have lost your top goalscorer and to top it off, to your bitter rivals.

Don't have to a rocket scientist to understand that we are gutted but most understand he was asking for too much money

If this was 5 years ago I would be bothered. He is a decent league one player. We have another Striker who scored 20 goals last season who is younger and has not sulked or had a shit attitude. We are annoyed he went to you but until we see who we are signing we shall hold fire.

The same Hoskins who spent 3 seasons at Watford in the Prem (albeit briefly and the CHAMPIONSHIP) with a stunning return of 7 goals from 60 appearances?

I don't play with the chavs in Croydon pal, I'm a Sussex boy :afro:

No way near as 'gutted' as you think. He isn't proven at championship level and he can be a right sulky git when he isn't getting opportunities. Having said that he is a good player on his day... We'll see how he does

Unfortunately, I do agree with this!!

I am gutted that he has gone to be honest!! :(

Fair play to you mate........then again, if your flying come mid October and young Hoskins is banging them in, he'll be forgotten then right?

Most of us do rate him which is what makes it so bloody strange, as lets face it, if you want to improve in your career and it isn't about money, you don't sign for relegation certainties. Zamora left us and went to bigger and better. Glenn leaves us to sign for......... wait for it ( no really, I do like their vision).......wait for it (honest, it's not about the money really) ......... *snigger* Crystal *snigger* Palace.......

what can your money buy on the footballing scrapheap? :tosser:

Yes.. neither proven in the Championship - as he said. Murray hasn't even made a single appearance at that level. What's your point?

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
I would have liked Murray to stay, he would have been useful as 1 of 4 strikers im sure, if Gus had really wanted him we would have paid the cash. Murray will get a guarnateed game at Palace...im not sure that would be the case with us this season.

Its obvious we think we can get better for the money, only time will tell.
Gus hasnt really got much wrong so far so i back his judgement on this one.
