I'd have to withhold the answers and delay longer in that case. What will simply happen is the team withdrawn will revert to a 'bye'. Five minutes work.

For purely selfish reasons, I just want to be put out of my misey. Convinced I've lost all three matches, as three of the five answers I thought were correct I now realise are definitely wrong!

Yep anyone not submitting by the deadline just draws a blank for that match/those matches but can stay in the competition

I have to be harsher than that, If they lose that section then three others get the win. But if they play their other games then it works against the other teams they are due to play- they didn't get the advantage.
The remaining player has logged in throughout the week and would have seen the message I sent to get the answers in as well as the @ gee ups over the last couple of days. So I have to disqualify.

Disappointed to lose to Germany after two great performances in Latvia's opening two matches. Defence got complacent, who would have thought Zaha would cost Latvia a draw against Germany.
Not as confident for matches 4, 5 and 6. A lot more guesses this time round.

A little point to make. I don't do the hard taskmaster thing very well so it's always flexible. But because there are a lot involved this time there needs to be some deadlines otherwise it's a constant chase.
Ideally I'd like answers by Sunday night if possible although what will happen in reality is that a final call will go out then and the deadline will be extended to Monday night.
If a player has clearly logged in over that period (sounds a bit creepy but we can know by looking at their profile) and not submitted their results then they will be eliminated from the competition.
Not keen on that, but I have spent a lot of time chasing this round and it stops what is a big, but very enjoyable task, from being that.
There are nearly 2500 marks to give in the competition so as much as I don't like sounding the big 'I am' there doesn't seem to be any choice in the matter when trying to help folk enjoy the quiz and not be frustrated by unnecessary delays.
