This thread reminds me of that thread a while back claiming that women that get raped, deserve it.

....

I wouldn't say they deserve it but dressing how some of the slags that populate West Street do is only going to attract the kind of undesirable twat that gets beered up and goes off rapin'. So deserve is the wrong word, maybe it should be said that they encourage rape?

Baring in mind some of the filth that washes up on these shores then most disgusting person in the UK? No.

However she is certainly in my top 3 of most irritating pieces of sh*t that wont seem to disappear. She is one of those people that I always use as an example of why I hate "celebrity'" culture and don't understand why the public seem to idolise them.

I cannot stand catching any of my family or friends watching TV or reading magazines which fuels this crap and find it a sad reflection on modern society.

If I was on given the option she along with OK/hello/close magazine etc, a lot of premier league footballers, "it girls", tabloid news stories, shameless publicity seeking whores etc would all be flushed down the toilet in room 101 to live in their own little self indulgent sewage world as far away from me as possible!

We don't know who she claims raped her, but by assuming she's telling the truth, you* are assuming that she was raped, and thus assuming (when the identity of the man is revealed) that he is guilty. You can't believe her now, then when/if she makes a claim against someone stop believing her, can you?

I know the idea that someone can be guilty, and get away with the crime so in the eyes of the law be found 'not guilty', but the eyes of the law see only guilty or not guilt, there is no "well, he's guilty, but we can't prove it so he's 'not guilty'... for now" You are "guilty", or you are "not guilty".

But if in the eyes of the law the man is "not guilty", how can the accuser not be seen, in the eyes of the law, as guilty of lying?

As for the evidence, it depends on the victim's behaviour. If she doesn't wash or change her clothes the evidence stays around longer. However, a typical reaction is to wash, thoroughly, and thus get rid of evidence. (Not just semen, but signs of force, hair etc).

(side note, women (or men) if you're ever raped you have a better chance of catching the rapist, proving his guilt the sooner you report it. Don't hesitate, don't be ashamed, don't feel judged. Report it)

(*general 'you', not specifically you, TLO)

Quite easily.

If the law can't prove that the accused was guilty, that doesn't necessarily mean it was because the accuser was lying. There could be any number of reasons for a 'not guilty' verdict.

Like her or loath her, as others have said Katie Price in keeping with the likes of Jade Goody and Victoria Beckham have made a fortune from having no discernible talent. Having said that it's the general public, TV and the tabloid press who have had a big hand in that. You can hardly blame them and frankly you can quite easily ignore them if you watch the right TV and by the right newspapers.

Im not a fan of KP having seen the way she treated PE who seems like a thoroughly genuine bloke.I must admit, having seen the front page of the Argus today, I thought it was likely to be either total bollocks or topped up massively.
My only hope is that the boys in blue decide to pursue the matter as, lets face it, there are a couple of rapists that have allegedly gone unpunished. If that happens, I will stick my neck out and say that IMO they will be issuing a 'we wont be pursuing this case any further' fairly promptly. I hope Im wrong but somehow I dont think I will be and if KP turns out to be lieing then she will deserve all she gets.

As far as I'm aware the eyes of the law are quite binary. Guilty or not guilty. Can you explain how the law can see a rapist as not guilty, yet their accuser isn't guilty of lying?

Lack of evidence, for one, or tainted evidence on the part of the forensic scientists, or incomplete or lost notes on the part of the police or CPS - any number of things.

The point you're making is prudent to ANY accuser. You're implying that anyone found not guilty has been the victim of a malicious accuser.

You seem to enjoy splitting hairs on points of discussion, or perhaps you are just pedantic. Are you a lawyer? That would explain your defence of KP, you both get paid far too much for doing very little.:fishing:

To further muddy the guilty/not guilty of rape conundrum, there was a woman on 5-Live the other morning who called in regarding a domestic abuse topic they were discussing, and said that she was raped by her partner regularly over the course of a 5 year relationship. Obviously the presenter asked why she stayed in the relationship with him, and the woman just said "he was a strong character and I felt at the time I needed him".

Is that REALLY rape, in the normal sense of the word ?

It's not that binary at all - for example you won't see many convictions for Wasting police time/attempting to pervert the course of justice coming from not guilty verdicts of rape. In fact you'll find none. Just because you can't prove something at court doesn't automatically mean the victim is a liar.

Not wishing to put the cat amongst the pigeons, but didn't she alude to some unhappy 'sexual incident' when she was a child during her interview with Piers Morgan a couple of years ago? She refused to go into detail but the implication seemed that she had been raped.

Can she ever shut up and f**k off?! Funny never heard of this before but now the new boyfriend has an 'interesting' career that has been criticised in some quarters she has to issue this drivel. Self centred, publicity seeking s**g!

I am not diminishing any rape victim I just don't believe her.

Katie Price reveals she was raped when young From The Argus)

Look here, she was raped when young. In fact, every little chavvy scrote who ever shagged her rotten, did in fact 'rape' her.
It's classic for dirty little ho's who want to suddenly 'realize they are actually sweet angels' to re-write history - sometimes blaming their Dad/Uncle/Teacher/bloke next door for either doing the deed or looking at them wrong when they grew tits and put on Mum's shoes.

Classic.

Since he was basically a common-law husband, and she was in an adult relationship with him - no!
When people get married, it's often required within the vows that (with due respect) the woman does not withhold sexual intercourse from her husband. I know, try telling that to 90% of all married men - but this woman was not 'REALLY' raped.

Maybe he should claim he was a male escort and back-charge her for the 5 years.
