We need a 'Compendium of Trolls' thread.

People need to know who to ignore and on what threads.

I just don't feel that comfortable starting it. lolol:

It was, he has done absolutely feck all to help us so far this season. We got lucky, it was a very marginal decision. He really does need competition.

Why shouldn’t we call it as we see it? This season he has been bang average...or worse

Penalties are pot luck. Couldn't really have done much with the disallowed goal as it was so firmly struck (sometimes strikers are allowed to score great goals).

Completely disagree that they are pot luck. Some keepers are good at saving them and being bigger is definitely more intimidating as you fill the goal and make the taker think they need to put it right in the corner. Never back an Albion striker against Kasper Schmeichel from the spot.

Oppo strikers know that they just need to place it into the corners as Maty never saves them
IF they are put in the corners / side netting it’s unlikely any keepers saving them Let alone MR
It’s more about percentage s imho
Saving the saveable penalties
Guessing and diving early I’m Not sure is best policy
I d be interested to see stats on how often it works

The offside goal was blasted high into the roof of the net, not many keepers would save that. People really underestimate what a clean strike that was and a penalty is pure luck for 90% of keepers, there are some ‘specialist’ keepers who are very good at penalties but not many penalties get saved, I think the stat is 1 in 6 penalties are saved if I remember correctly.

By the way, I say this as someone who has called him out on some of his errors before. I must say I find it very strange to see this thread active after today’s game, they had one shot in the entire game. Odd.

Are those saying he messed up for the offside goal because he should have saved the shot?

Lunatics if so.

Sanchez looked the business in the u23’s yesterday, commanding his area and great distribution. I think he’ll be the one who challenges for Ryan’s place in the team.

The lack of cleans sheets this season puts the spotlight on Mat Ryan but I think it's more to do with our poor defending. we do look vulnerable at the back this season

They're probably not lunatics. They just know absolutely nothing about football

Big fan of Maty's but he does need some competition, I just don't buy it with Steele. Great backup and can do a job, but never able to threaten a main stay.

Any word on Walton and how he's doing?
