They want cushions on the seats at Falmer so protect their exposed bottoms.

Missing the point a bit here.

The point being that they weren't keeping it real with da fans on da last day of da season as has been traditional over recent years.

Which is a shame.

But there were only 26 tickets left over (as proved by a thread on here early yesterday morning) allowing some fans to pay on the gate ie Strike.
As Trigger said, they could have taken tickets wanted by fans.

They're damned if they and damned if they don't.

Didn't stop them at Shrewsbury and Port Vale when, on both occasions, tickets sold out. They didn't this time.

Next?

It may have something to do with the fact that they were threatened with arrest in the Port Vale car park after that game.

Cheltenham wouldn't have wanted similar trouble.

Why on earth were they threatened with arrest - did the beat up a pikey Port Vale fan ?

Two dodgy looking blokes in the stripes were observed by Stoke on Trent's finest - walking into a section of the car park marked "Directors and Officials Only".

Mr Plod, naturally enough, went in hot pursuit.
