You can use the term 'loan signing' but they are just that, a loan. We borrow them off someone else for a period of time and then they go back...Not ours.

You can't have competition for EVERY position at this level though - its unrealistic and I can't recall a time in recent memory where we haven't had several undisputed names on the teamsheet. In my opinion, Livermore is a QUALITY leftback, Virgo and Whing can play there, and despite what people on here say, Mayo is a perfectly good squad player who can do a job for a couple of games. Theres always loans as well (or have we used them all up? - i have no idea how the system works these days).

A real shame this in Latics fans eyes, he was our top scorer last season and is a very exciting player to watch, fast, direct, takes players on.

However our manager recently said he has a future at our club "if he can sort his head out". That says it all really, he's a bit of an enigma! No goals for Latics this season, looks very disinterested at times, and has disciplinary issues.

Good luck with him though, really enjoyed watching him in his short stay at Oldham.

i hope not as it is a waste of his talents in the centre of midfield and he is arguably too slow. matt richards on loan again is a possibility as no body else wants him. then we can get him for free at the end of the season.

Cant we sign him on a 7 day loan, until 1200 noon I think, and then sign him permenantly on Monday then he could play today.

good he is shit. 8 goals in 84 appearences for 4/5? different clubs. hopefully he has a bas savage moment as he had only scored a goal in 4 years before signing for us.
