It would seem odd to me to sell him now after persevering with him for the whole of last season when he wasn't living up to expectations at all. He's got 9 in 15 so far this season, if he carries on that strike rate he'll have 27 goals by the end of the season. I think we'd all be happy with that.

I cant imagine we'd let him go for less than £3.5 million in January, it's so hard to replace players then.

That'll be the solution then, get rid of a striker in form and struggle to replace him. I think we have been down this road before. I really hope Gus has learnt his lesson. Exactly my take on the situation. But not exactly sure what Norwich see in him to make them want to pay us more than we paid for him.

In that case, why is he still playing - he would be a Norwich player and the sensible thing would be a loan to buy in Jan.
