Listening to the post match comments, it could have been us a couple of years ago. "They need to have a go at teams and not show them so much respect"

Ye its ridicilous really. Didnt see their game today but against Norwich they defended with ten men inside their own penalty box from minute one with only that old Wimbledon striker chasing like a maniac up front.

That’s surprising to me.

Yes at this level that was CH’s philosophy, but we played some very good stuff at times in the Championship. He needs time.

Forest are like Sheff Wed and Sunderland it does not matter who takes the job there seems to be something fundamentally wrong at the club that prevents success.

Think Chris will find himself the next in a long line of people who tried and failed to turn it around there

he'll have them hard enough to beat by the end of the season to not be in threat of the bottom 3.

Will be hard viewing for the fans.

Be interesting how he does next season with a couple of windows. Thats when will judge this move.

If he gets time

Indeed, that’s if he’s given the time. The first season for us under Hughton wasn’t exactly fantastic we scraped by being hard to beat, Chris deserves to be backed at Forest with his management history and success in the championship, let’s hope they allow him January at least to get a squad together.

Maybe we could loan him a few

They really need to get rid of players before signing anyone. They already got 30+ players and their "star" defender Joe Worrall said today that they "are not friends" in the squad.

They cant really just keep adding players forever, having 10 unhappy players lingering around the facilities is just not going to end up well. There's enough quality in their current squad to end mid-table, better to get rid of the deadwood than to add some of CHs pals.

Forest have had a tough run of fixtures

Next up

Wednesday
Millwall
Birmingham

CH will turn it round

And that has to be remembered - the last six games were against the top six in the Championship - and they were tough games. If Forest win a couple of games before the end of the year it will make a big difference to their league position and to their confidence. Then there needs to be a big clear out and some quality brought in. Wouldn't be surprised to see Murray end up at Forest in January - he hasn't played for Watford since the end of October and has only been in their matchday squad once in the last 10 games (and didn't play).

Pleased for Chris, he really needed that win.

One thing of note from the game - Hughton played two kids for the first time - 19 year-old Loïc Mbe Soh at centre-back and 18 year old Alex Mighten in midfield - the performance of both was praised by Hughton after the game. Along with that, he played Cafu (who was brought to Forest as a defensive midfielder) in a foward role as an attacking midfielder and said after the game that he wants Cafu to try and score goals when ever he gets the chance.
