Chavs definitely do exist everywhere (the funny thing is they all kind of dress the same too...from Europe to Asia) but I still say that your average British Chav turns to violence a fair bit quicker than your foreign chav.

Not just the chavs either...there's just a little bit too much of an aggressive streak in a lot of people

LIVING IN SIN
it seems to me theres more petty crime abroad,

i.e, pick pockets and bag snatches, im sure we all know someone who has been robbed abroad.

Sorry for monoplising this thread. As the "scariest moment" thread shows there used to be quite a lot of antosocial behaviour under a socialist government in the UK in the 1970s. It's not all recent. It's just not so evident in football grounds.

Its a myth that the UK is the best country in the world to live in. Its a shit hole !. You get sod all for your efforts and are beaten down by the government if you get ideas above your station and try and make a good living for yourself.

If you work hard and a professional person in the USA the least you would expect to come home to every night is a 4/5 bed detached house with a swimming pool and as much as you could eat and drink with a 50 ft long car in the driveway.

Your saying it's not right that you can earn 30 to 40k a year then only be able to affoprd a 1 bed flat in Brighton......If your lucky.

I have been drinking in pubs for 18 years in this country and have never been caught up in a fight, ok I've had to break one up ONCE, but thats it. judging by some of the misguided ignoramis comments on here you'd think we lived in Palestine FFS!

Misguided ignoramis? I wrote the quote about the fights! They all happened. So you must be lucky - or I suspect - avoid it as you are local. Where I come from calling someone an ignoramis is fighting words! ...... oh wait a minute!

GG, you do talk bollocks sometimes, but we still love you :lolol:
the proportion of Americans who live like that is considerably less than it is in this country, you watch too much Daily Mail TV !

I agree we need to be more concerned with our own peoples welfare than foreigners, and by and large I think we are, its just too many people take too much notice of a minority of scaremongerers

as for the whole chavs/scum/disrespect thing . . .its been around for centuries and longer . . . .anyone ever heard of Fagin ? ? ? :lolol:

I missed the season we were in division 1 the season before last as I moved over to copenhagen to be with my Danish girlfriend. I couldn't wait to get out of this intolorant country but I actually found Denmark to be the most insular country imaginable (despite providing free language tutition).

After struggling with the language, culture and awful job for a year, I came home. I listened to practically every Brighton match on seagulls world but felt so distant from it.

I never thought I'd miss this country but even Burgess Hill where I'm from seemed so much better than it ever did before.

Just got back from 3 months in the states. Missed the Albion most..especially the f******g play off.

However, got home to find that I need to fill an application form in, just to join a waiting list to be entitled to park in my own street,(which has litter blowing up & down it.)

What the f**k do we pay council tax for?

Missing Miami already! (Except the shite sports they watch!)

Hello Mate,
I pulled a blinding bird in Copenhagen in March. She wants me to go over & stay; but before I get in too deep....would you reccomend I give her a swerve?

Yeah they've got one hell of healthy gene pool over there eh! But seriously mate, I'd avoid it like the plague if I were you. I gave the Danish dream everything I''ve got and it shattered me.

Good for him. What work does he do over there? I work in mental health so it would have taken me years to work again in my field.
