He is NOT the special signing, but would be a good one...

Price will depend on how parlous Plymouth's financial situation is, and it is...

and how many rivals we have in trying to sign him. If Saints decide they'd like him we are likely to miss out and Plymouth get a big wedge to help them out. I totally understand why they are gonna hold a Dutch Auction for him

his contract is up at the end of the season - so is Bradley Wright-Phillips' - it will dramatically reduce their value in the transfer market

The way Gus is talking about him in the argus sounds like a sure thing he'll come?

In Noone case he is under 24 so does this not have an affect or would it possibly go to a tribunal if he wants to sign and we cant agree a fee or do we just wait until his contract runs out and then sign him.

Nah - doesn't fit in with the 'lookers' populating the team - don't care how good he is:

It says in the 'Albion Diary' column that the Argus understands that it is "as good as a done deal".

Could be a pre-agreement understanding perhaps? Maybe Albion agreed to commit now so that Plymouth could show the court their intent to realise income from selling assets. Benefits Brighton to lock him in early and suits Plymouth to have the cash committed. Just guessing.

I would have thought so. If it is hopefully he will sign on 1 January as we have some important games early in the month.
