Like I said on the other thread. With the players we have. As at today we SHOULD be top two or three and def COMFORTABLY in a P/O position at least.

I will also BET Tony knows this.

If we had mark macammon up front and george santos in defence for all you look where we were x years ago blah blah blahs WE DONT. If we did then I would be happy with keeping out the bottom three...

This SQUAD is UNDERACHIEVING at the moment.

110% agree. However, the big question is, why are they underachieving?

I can't understand how a few people here can paint over the cracks with the old 'this division is so poor, everyone's dropping points' excuse.
We have ex and current internationals, ex Champions League and overall, a damned good squad.
How long will it take for the majority to really understand what's going on here..?

Get real ! nearly every team in this division with a few exceptions is capable of mounting a serious promotion push .we are no different

We all know we need 2 or 3 new strikers, but the good point in all this is that there are not enough outstanding teams in this division, and so amazingly, even with our poor points haul, we are still in touch with 5th place.

Because we are too defensive, in the midfield.
Crofts and Dave in front of Bridcutt v Bolton and we looked superb.
Bristol City a completely different midfield gets tied to Bridcutt, and we are pony.

Answers on a forum to NSC.....As long as you don't dare to suggest it just might be the manager. Because he shits gold bars and can do no wrong and the players are all 100% behind him.
I used to think that, but for the first time ever IMO he's not looking too steady on his pedestal.

The more worry stat is the 36 games without coming from behind to win. That is SHOCKING.
It's more than that, isn't it.

I thought our last comeback league win was THE Donny game.

I don't care what anyone says....That stat is shocking and is ALL about self believe and team spirit and ANYONE who thinks otherwise can't see the woods for the trees, or just don't want too...36 Games ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every single time you see Palace go 1 down, you just know they are going to come back all guns blazing, most of the time. Every time we do, you know the best you can hope for is a draw...Spineless!!!!!!

So what you are saying is, the only people who 'understand what's going on' are the people who are constantly moaning on here, about everything?

Most teams in this league ae of a very similar standard, that's why it's so tight. To say it's poor is a mistake, it's just very even, the overall standard for a 2nd tier league is probably better than any other country in the world.

The one big difference between the top teams and everyone down to about 18th, is that they have someone who can stick the ball in the back of the net. If we'd buried a few more chances in those last 16 games we'd be top 4 at least.

It's actually 68 league games.

This stat would be acceptable if we never lost, however, of course this is not so.

I have yet to hear a case for the manager - we all know go a goal down & we don't win.
Far too defensive, can't break down teams & the pathetic one man up front policy.

Totally unacceptable.
