We hit a bad patch the same time last season.

Proves that despite being slated, Gus is right about this being a poor league.

With results like that we should have no chance of promotion, yet we are still in touch due to most others dropping points.

If its such a poor division why aren't we picking up more points?

Still in touching distance of the playoffs though, this time last year we were being tonked by Coventry and Reading who wern't amazing round Xmas so if we Can muster a result against Watford I recon we will start 2013 in a top 10 place, primed for the run in!

It's a shocking stat, that's for sure. Draws are shite, 46 draws will see you relegated in this division. It's better to win 1 out of 3.

If you win one out of three and lose the other two, that's no better than drawing all three games.

Our season crashed after losing to Palace last year, looks like the same is happening again, although our bad run started even earlier.

It is a damning stat, and almost certainly the one that means we won't be going up - not that that is a disaster by any means. The thing that makes it frustrating is that we all know we have been better than that on performances, and should have another 10 points.

And it goes to show the people who bore on about 'we're only one point of the play-offs blah blah blah' hopelessly miss the point. It's about points, and momentum at this stage far more than league position. We don't have the points, and seeing as teams above us are moving away, and teams below us are catching us up and/or overtaking us, we haven't had any momentum for months either.

Not sure about the 'poor league'. Maybe the quality in top teams isn't great, but there are few fewer joke teams than usual in the Championship which contributes to everyone taking points off each other. Even Peterborough, Wednesday and Barnsley have got memorable wins in the past couple of weeks and have some decent players.

It's such a poor division because pretty much every team is dropping a lot of points.

That doesn't make it poor; it means that it's competitive. All the teams in the league could be as good as Barcelona but they would still drop points as there are only a certain number of points to go round.

I can't understand how a few people here can paint over the cracks with the old 'this division is so poor, everyone's dropping points' excuse.
We have ex and current internationals, ex Champions League and overall, a damned good squad.
How long will it take for the majority to really understand what's going on here..?

kerching.

People use other clubs failures to justify our current failing, which is completely wrong I think.
