Day 12 and I've just tested negative. Will do another LFT tomorrow. Unfortunately will still be missing the game as COVID has aggravated my sinuses and I'm feeling rotten because of that.
I'm now 7 days in. Still testing positive. Still feeling pretty rough but it's mostly now just a particularly unpleasant head cold. Lots of congestion and sinus pain.
I'm thankful that I'm young(ish, 37), triple vaxxed and that this is a milder variant because getting the full force of weapons...
Well, it finally got me.
Felt a bit off last night, coughing this morning. Positive test but with a super faint line.
Time to settle on to the couch and watch a bunch of films.
I tell you what, if you ever find yourself with twenty minutes to spare, go back and read through this thread from the beginning.
Honestly, give it a go. I started at page 1 and skipped ahead 10 pages at a time until the first full lockdown announcement.
It's utterly fascinating as an...
Teach me the ways.
Impart your COVID Jedi wisdom on me.
Seriously.
The thing is that whilst it isn't a completely irrational fear because there is a nasty virus out there...it's still pretty f**king irrational. I'm under 40, I'm reasonably fit and the only worry is a minor heart issue which...
I can't lie, I'm terrified even though statistically speaking I would likely be fine.
I've been WFH since March last year but my other half is a key worker so has been going out to work every day. I'm so proud of her but every day when she walks in the door and I give her a hug I'm worried...
That's encouraging, thanks
I'm actually less doom and gloom than my post would imply but I am nervous about it all collapsing when we're within farting distance of happier times.
If it gets bad again I truly hope your "chances" don't kill someone you love.
EDIT - sorry. I'm a bit tetchy today. Will leave the original post up for clarity.
~6K people attended raves this weekend in the Manchester area.
Interviewed one of them, a 22 year old, on the radio this morning and his reasoning: "Yeah, it's basically over innit? Back to normal".
No. It's not, ya f**king clod.
I think a lot of offices will be announcing something similar in the coming weeks. My office has given people the choice - stay WFH if you want to or come in when (if) the office is open again.
I was talking to some friends about it the other day. We're all in tech, can work from home...
I know we're in dire times and everything is pretty bleak and it really shouldn't have but the title of the cumulative deaths graph made me giggle like a child.
Resigned to believing it'll be more like July / August.
I don't think it'll be a "right, panic over, everyone as you were". They'll take some sort of staggered approach like, people who have had it and survived can go out and certain businesses can reopen before others. Do that for a bit and...
