    [Football] Gary Shaw RIP

Geez....playing in a title winning and European Cup winning squad of only 14 players and scoring plenty of goals. Mind you...met a guy once ( in the late 60's ) who had no idea who Bobby Moore or Bobby Charlton were.

    [Politics] Trump under fire.

His team around him are getting a little worried about the thumb sucking and bedtime stories, particularly in the presence of other world leaders.

[Albion] Walking in a Minteh wonderland

Minteh just needs to slow his game down a tiny bit. At the moment his brain and his feet aren't always in co-ordination. It's not always about breakneck speed. You need to know exactly what you want to do with the ball and when. He will learn. Knocky was similar until he learnt to slow down...

[Albion] If Brian Clough had stayed

Well here is another scenario........ Had Clough and Taylor stayed for another 4-5 years, there would have been no catalyst to ignite the rivalry with Palace .i.e Mullery and Venables. The relationship would have remained as it was before. Millwall would have stayed Palace's main rivals and not...

[Politics] Small boats, smashing the criminal gangs and the UK job market

I have a fast food outlet and many of these ' food couriers ' have no grasp of our language. They display the order no. on their phone and that is it. If you ask them if they are busy you get a blank expression. They cannot deal with any issue in store. They turn up to collect two orders at...

[Politics] Small boats, smashing the criminal gangs and the UK job market

Totally agree. The black economy is huge in this country. Plenty of people with no Nat Ins no. or Tax Code. No bank accounts and plenty of landlords happy to accept cash. A big slice of the community all operating under the radar. I.D cards can be issued and they can be taken away.

    [Albion] Arsenal fans

Very difficult when nearly a third of the PL is represented by an elite group of clubs that have developed enormous support globally and are regarded as the life blood by broadcasters who pump millions into the game. As a result, you get self-entitled fans who struggle to accept not winning...

[Albion] Potter- what’s he up to?

I'm with you there. Unlike the rigid RDZ.... Potter changed his mind week after week.

[Football] Sir Gary Lineker - 25 years at the MotD helm

Happy 60th birthday to MOTD. Aug 22 1964....on BBC 2...Liverpool 3 Arsenal 2. Ironically, very few fans in ' beatleville ' were able to watch it back as BBC 2 wasn't then available in the North of England. In 1966 MOTD moved to BBC 1.

[Albion] Potter- what’s he up to?

Indeed. Many fans rushing to extol his virtues as our greatest ever mgr...to be followed by more eulogising over RDZ. GP is milking Chelsea for all he can get with no plans for a quick return to football. He has turned down seemingly attractive offers whilst 200k a week dribbles into his bank...

[Albion] Did our 2nd team just beat Everton 0-3?

....and most seasons it caught up with them. Competing in everything with 13-14 players...with their physicality and on those pitches. The best team in the land for 10 years should have filled their trophy cabinet but instead left a lot of space to be dusted. The perennial runners up..often let...

    [Politics] The Labour Government

Its also a wide generalisation. I was part of that era and plenty of my age group haven't changed political views at all. A lot have become disenchanted and have largely become apolitical. They have seen both sides have plenty of goes at it, with pretty similar results, constrained by the system...

[Politics] Protests/rioting in lots of places

Its clear that there are many out on the streets just looking for the opportunity to loot. They are waiting for their chance. Too many got away with it in August 2011, with a lack of police intervention and now some regard it as fair game.

    [Politics] Labour Party meltdown incoming.......

I hope the government recognises that business is on the floor...raped and pillaged by successive administrations. My gut feeling is that their main concentration will be in the public sector. I understand that long running pay disputes need sorting but thousands of sme's and larger co's need...

[Other Sport] Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics ***Official Match Thread***

It was brilliant opportunism from Pidcock. Superb and aggressive riding and the home fans couldn't take it. Let's be honest...the French hate us.....and as hard as they try to be generous in these games....they cannot fight deep rooted feelings. They booed the GB rugby girls as soon as they ran...
