The 9th was incredibly lucky and relied on a series of results all falling for us on the final day. At HT v WHU we were 13th. 45 min later we were 9th. We got lucky. GP started the next season well and the rest is history. Top half made people sit up and take notice. 13th wouldn't have had the...
Listened to Chelsea fans demeaning the Europa Conference League. They celebrated being in the Europa cos City were going to win the FAC. Oh well...shit happens....now you can have a dose of Thurs/Sun v Apoelnaxia Ludogreatness...karma...
.....and AEK....Chelsea...Fulham...Roma....Arsenal....and Man C.....some of the nine different teams who scored 3 or more goals against us....many in the first 20 min of games. In truth, we were playing catch up, too early, too often. 13 goals v us in first 17 min of games and 24 goals scored...
Quite.
Fed on a diet of regular managerial changes, world class players being bought at the drop of a hat, talented youngsters being allowed to leave and trophies regularly being won....they have gorged themselves. They have filled their boots at the top table and now, they don't like settling...
Friends of mine have just had their Bulldog attacked by an Akita. Multiple bites..serious damage...extensive surgery....touch and go...one young traumatised dog.
His career has a ' Mourinho without the trophies ' feel to it. A pretty short span at most clubs ( this will be RDZ's 8th club in 11 years ) They both cleverly position themselves to exit, firstly when other opportunities are on the horizon and secondly because they are both restless...
His legacy will be numerous quiz questions in the future....." Who scored the only goal in the only game of Sam Allardyce's reign as England manager "......

....and he says he wants PL football.....so thats all settled then.....he needs to find someone who will play open, attractive football and get them promoted pretty damn sharpish.....
Good luck with that then......!!!
Got a funny feeling we are going to get something on Sunday. We have had these runs before and just when you decide there is no point turning up....bang.....the unexpected happens. Spurs are gifting 4th place to Villa and if the Chelsea and Olympiacos games are anything to go by, the Villains...
What is your definition of ' elite level '
To me, it suggests the highest level in football. The top clubs vying for the top honours, with elite, multiple trophy winning managers, of whom there are very few.
Don't think ' a better ' draw would have made much difference. Its how you set up, particularly away from home. If you are committed to only playing one way and your in-game management is down to resting certain players and wrapping others up in cotton wool, then you are asking for trouble...
Yes ..the soft touch of the division. All the other teams know we have ' gone ' We are going through the motions and it's painful to watch.
Any manager worth his salt would be mixing up tactics now to try and stop the slide. RDZ clearly believes that his way is the only way. So brace yourselves...
