Help please, I've eaten some out-of-date meat!

Hmm.... can't remember ever stating on here that I was in the habit of doing that! I did actually go on Friday night, got 2 of these amazing bargains (reduced from £4). They went straight in the freezer!

Help please, I've eaten some out-of-date meat!

OMG! Please, please, please tell me the sausages had been out of refrigeration for at least part of that week!

Help please, I've eaten some out-of-date meat!

These two replies are completely at odds! If the latter is true, then how many hours would it take for the first symptoms to arrive? I think I'd better have something else this evening and have the lamb for Sunday lunch.

HOME in Gods county at last

I thought it was the name of one of your cats! Did you manage to sell the house in the end?

So what do you think happens to male calves that are not kept for veal? It's not economic to grow them for beef unless they are also producing milk (I shunned veal until I realised this.) If you are talking about veal crates, then yes, that is disgusting and the EU should ban them.

Are you talking about me, or the meat?

Help please, I've eaten some out-of-date meat!

I cooked and ate about 100g of lamb shank this morning before realising it was several days out of date, but it was lovely! So, I'm planning on scoffing the other 200g this evening if there are no ill affects. My question is, how many hours should I wait to ensure this morning's meal didn't...

    Nottseagull's Friday Caption Contest #10

Well, what an amazing response to the canine croc costume pic ; a page full of quality replies, with Race just being edged by this winner And that thread was the one which had to be brought forward from the previous week due to a ZERO response! I'll be spending an afternoon of the holiday...

Hmm..... looks like these threads are only popular on Friday daytimes, so I'll carry forward last week's!

    Peterborough away end

It looked packed when Middlesbrough visited for a night match last week too. That FA Cup tie was the coldest I've ever been at an afternoon match.

Can I trim a Windows Media Payer audio file for free?

That link does not work and as you can see from my screenshot, there is no 'Home tab'. It's not on that drop-down box either. This is just typical of Windows programmes and their instructions; designed by geeks, for geeks. I just gave up and asked the recipient to skip the first 70 seconds...

Can I trim a Windows Media Payer audio file for free?

So it is! Just tried to use it but the instructions stop short at the point where you move the red cursor to the relevant point; nothing on how to actually execute the trim. I've tried just saving it, but there is no change.(The red cursor bit cannot be captured on a screenprint) [/URL] Uploaded...

    Gary Speed dies aged 42

Err...no they shouldn't. Gary Speed was a wealthy man who made his own decision. I fail to see that the ordinary fan who has travelled to a game today should be penalised financially and suffer the waste of time.

Can I trim a Windows Media Payer audio file for free?

I'm sure it will do far more, but it only seems to be available for free as a trial. I just want something simple that I can just trim a file with that won't expire; something like the trimmer that is built-in to Real Player.

Can I trim a Windows Media Payer audio file for free?

Fortunately I have XP, as the older version doesn't support later OSs. But I really only need a plug-in, so I clicked on the link set of over 90 LADSPA plug-ins on this page Audacity: Plug-Ins and Libraries expecting a PDF, but it downloaded software. Should I install it?

Can I trim a Windows Media Payer audio file for free?

Thanks Tom, that sounds quite audacious! What exactly does beta mean? Is it just a trial version?

Can I trim a Windows Media Payer audio file for free?

There are free editing software downloads out there, but none I can find from anybody I trust. I don't want to pay for software that simply chops off part of a .wav file, so is this simple task possible another way?
