    Most UK births now non-white?

Just thought I heard on the radio in the background that non-white births in the UK now outnumber white ones! This would be shocking even if it was just England, but the whole of the UK? Someone please tell me I misheard!

Pat Saward's Brighton - please describe the players!

I went to boarding school in Bath in the early 1970s where I was constantly taunted about 'own-goal Spearritt'! I have never heard of this reputation since, so I guess he must have conceded just two, with possibly not too many matches in between them.* My Bristol Rovers supporting pal and I...

That's even better than this one! Mind you, that poor husky must be sweltering in that costume, even if it's freezing.

I rode it a couple of times from Goring to games when Southdown ran it as the 700 'Coastliner' in the mid 1970s. But I went back to the train because there were more interesting conversations and also you didn't have to walk up to the GG from the King Alfred.

Food stocks critical! What can I bake with these ingredients?

My only pet is my digital dog! I do get wood pigeons in the garden, but wouldn't like to cause the death of all the chicks I presume they are feeding. I dissolved the whitener and sugar in hot water, then stirred in a dollop of runny honey that I neglected to tell you about. I then stirred...

I'm pretty sure this service was the 700 in the 1970s and I was just wondering why the number might have been changed.

Food stocks critical! What can I bake with these ingredients?

That states "The kitchen should be unleavened beforehand." Does that involve getting a builder in? So how does bread rise without eggs? And why wouldn't vegetable oil bind flour?

Food stocks critical! What can I bake with these ingredients?

I've let food stocks fall alarmingly low, but I'm just too tired to go and cycle to Asda in the rain. I have plenty of the following, though: peanut butter (50% fat), vegetable oil, self-raising flour and sugar. I have no eggs or milk, but do have a lump of solidified coffee whitening I could...

    solar panels?

Please don't even suggest that storing electricity in batteries is in any way efficient. The battery that costs less than the value of all the electricity it can store over its entire lifetime has yet to be invented,
