But registration/qualification makes absolutely no difference if the public don't enforce it by checking. No one knows if you are registered to fit a bath or toilet and even if you aren't if you go to buy a house and you find out the plumber didn't get the bath properly inspected would you not...

But as I say how will anyone know? How does CORGI know if you fit a gas fire or run some gas pipework in your house?

But in all honesty if you carry out the work in your own home how is anyone going to find out?

Ok, I've just had a look online. Is the Boilermate an unvented hot water cylinder? If so this opens up another can of worms. You do not need to be CORGI registered as it is not gas but you do need to have been on the CITB (I think) course for unvented hot water storage systems.

As long as you do not touch any gas installation pipework OR any part of a gas appliance you do not need to be CORGI registered. For example, you cannot (well should not) touch any gas pipework up to a boiler, the boiler itself, or the boiler flue. However, you can work on the radiators, heating...

He's ok. I don't think he was in the squad for that game so he didn't eat at the hotel.

    Plumbers

You want to train to be a heating engineer/gas fitter not a plumber. A standard plumber is not qualified to work on gas appliances. To become a gas fitter is time consuming and expensive. You have to do all the training such as NVQs/City and Guilds which is a year minimum if you use a fast...

    £1million pound loss question

Firstly why would you want to risk killing the club off completely by taking a gamble on a player who might keep us up and even if they did still might bankrupt us? Secondly who in the hell is going to give us the money for someone of the standard we would require to keep us inthe division...

My God the Tories really dug the knife into Blair last night

To be fair I haven't been there since I wasa kid and my mcurrent opinions are based on the fact that I know a policeman who works there so it's obviously going to be mostly bad news. Do they still have those cable car things that go up and down the cliff?

I do. Very nice it is too. If you live in the exclusive parts and away from the riff raff that is.

I'd be more concerned about the fact that I lived in Hastings than the result of any local elections.

As long as they beat Spurs to the Champions League place I'll be happy.

Insider can't be a regular reader of NSC..........

I think as DJ Leon said asking the representative of a (until recently) Championship club "Do Brighton and Hove Albion have a dietician and/or fitness specialists?" is quite staggering.

    Chris Moyles

I could. I could say that he is a funny and entertaining DJ who isn't at all irritating and who isn't upstaged by his co-presenters every single show.

    Chris Moyles

Yes. That or the fact that he only started supporting them and mouthing off when they were doing well and in the Champions League and now he has to stick with it or risk everyone seeing him for the arrogant useless tossbag that he is.

    Chris Moyles

In the loosest possible sense. He doesn't know the scores half the time even when he's been to the game.
