obviously a deal sweetener. The problem is if the govt spent that on UK grass roots you could make the argument that you're letting the EPL and co off the hook.
The reality is the EPL has no interest in developing grass roots football as everything is done via academies etc. If you're playing...
Ashley's a big miss. He got us over the line when we were promoted and fitted into Dyche's setup last season. Having him and Marney pick up long term injuries was a kick in the teeth, I thought Barnes would be a key player for us this season.
Hi all,
As a Brighton based Claret I was looking forward to what turned out to be a dire match, feel sorry for any neutrals who had to watch it. I'm unsure it's 2 points dropped though, losing Gray meant we lost any real chance of scoring. Vokes is still getting back into form following his...
I think the average is 7, but it can really differ depending on what level the game is at (check this article).
In football you rarely see a stat for 'territory', rugby is about exploiting space by committing an opposition player or finding a gap. Much easier to do when you have one more player.
Cheers Pogue,
The main difference is that whilst there are a set of core skills which apply across a rugby team there are a number of specialist roles/positions which are generally very difficult for another player to backfill.
A particular player might be the lead in calling and receiving...
just a thought on the sin bin idea.
Losing a player in rugby is very different to losing one in football. Football teams can cover far more easily with only 10 men, in rugby losing a player = lots more space. That's without considering which player goes, losing a lock for 10 mins present a very...
Definitely nominate Brighton Beer Dispensary - good value and nice cask selection. I went to Craft Beer Company and was a bit disappointed, mostly keg with only a few cask (and all from one brewery).
Remember playing it on the Amiga, then the box featured an Alan Brazil-a-like manager shouting, very different now.
I remember reading about the 'uncanny valley' which, despite sounding like a line from a Carry On, was a study done on how people perceived robots. The more 'human' the robots...
His car has a Lion registration plate, he's actually quite scary up close. The older brother of the Cowardly Lion who went into business, to be fair he does smoke a pipe which somehow adds to the effect. Sure he's a nice chap but would love to know about the whole Lion thing - must be a story...
I was tempted with the Brewdog, but they don't do cask. Luckily Brighton is stocked with good 'old boozers such as The Nelson, Evening Star (even the Albion in Hove). I'm going to try out The Craft Beer Company this weekend, looks good.
Agree about Hove Place. The gardens are nice, but interior...
as a Burnley fan I was chuffed when we bought him though I did realise how Brighton fans were very divided on him. He got us over the line when we were promoted and did a good job bearing in mind who he came into replace.
Glad to see him doing well now though. Btw, I watched the game on Friday...
Just called a couple of pubs (Palmeira and Albion) they aren't showing it. I'd be surprised if it is being shown anywhere though, most pubs only do PPV.
If anyone hears if it's on at a pub please let me know. Otherwise it's stumping up for a BoxNation subscription just for one fight.
Cameron's got to be hoping Milliband stays. You do sense that a number of the newspapers (e.g. Daily Mail) are getting some revenge on him, he's clearly wound a few of them up.
I can't think of a time where the leaders of all political parties are lame ducks, they are all suppressing revolts...
