Presumably his contract is up if they've released him? They'd be unlikely to offer him a new one, and he'd be unlikely to sign it, if the plan was for him to leave and join us anyway.

True, but they seemed to be getting it together towards the end of the season, and ended up above us. I have to say I'm envious that they are getting business done early on. I'd love it if we avoided the deadline day scramble, but can't see it happening...

Never been the biggest fan of Heskey, but still think he would be an absolute monster in the Championship. Not that we can afford his wages, unless Gus has done a 'Vicente' on him and persuaded him to play for us for free, or whatever.

My first marathon yesterday and I wouldn't have done it anywhere else! Amazing support and fantastic organisation. My family and girlfriend were down supporting and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Everyone involved and who turned up to support did the city proud!
