This is EXACTLY what happened to McGhee. When we sacked him we were doing better than we are now, and he never had the luxury of spending anything like £300,000 on one player....
Used to be a big fan of Paul Watson.
MASSIVELY underrated and a QUALITY ball-player - if only he had any sort of pace he'd have been a good Championship full back at the very least.
Most recently got Mario/Sonic Olympics - will recommend it if you have someone (ideally 3 mates) to play it with. Single player mode is cack and boring.
Also own Mario Party 4 (as above)
Zelda (a great game)
Super Mario Galaxy (one of the best Nintendo-made games of all time)
PLEASE a cricket...
According to my *ahem* source.. they play in a light blue and white home strip (my source being FM2008 backed up by, ahem, Wiki)!!
Yes, he truly is a love god
Federico.
Never actually saw him play a minute. It's more the *idea* of him that I like. Also, he's now at Salernitana in Italy C1 - who incidentally play in light blue and white stripes, like big Fed always wanted.
WHAT a boy.
Er Newcastle are so shit BECAUSE of their squad. It's shit. £6m for a wank rightback just because he's Spanish and sounds like he ought to be good is not a good enough reason to spunk a fortune on him.
All Allardyce's signings were cack, £8m for Smith? That's what Elano cost. f*** me.
Well, he is on a three year deal and is one of our highest earners, and every time I have seen the team play this season (Two home, three away) he has been our best player. Great movement and strength, but alas probably not a 30 goal a season man - hopefully he'll be a great foil for Murray next...
Kuipers - free - we'd never get a fee for a player of his age/quality
Elphick - £250,000
Lynch - £100,000 (totally unproven and injury prone)
Robinson - £50,000 - one league goal in a year?
Forster - £100,000 - only because we'd not let him go for less than we bought him given the relative...
It's the same thing that stops him from taking 'the next step' - as with most players at our level, and really pushing on to have 'that something else'.. SO many kids in the various academies across the country have immense potential and may look great on the training pitch, or even when on...
What's interesting about this is when I am watching the warm ups - in particular the shooting practice against Michel/John, is that certain individuals either 'have it' or they simply don't.
In the warm up where they play a one-two with Dean White before shooting at goal, certain players do...
