Mr Jolly Lives Next Door

Good call - wish they would repeat it. The Comedy Strip Team, Peter Cook AND Nicholas Parsons in an hour of depraved and sick humour. I laughed lots. "Take out Nicholas Parsons".

....And while we are at it there is a comedy series which I am trying remember the name of (and it wasn't even a very good one). Believe it was BBC, mid to late '90's and set in a transport cafe in a remote spot "up North". Tried to be a bit like "Cheers" but failed. The only reason I remember it is because of a joke in it which made me fall off my chair laughing at the time.

Character A. So I now don't have anywhere to stay tonight.

Character B. You are welcome to stay with me and the missus so long as you don't mind the baby making noises.

Character A. But I thought that you didn't have any kids.

Character B. No, but we are trying really hard for some and the missus tells me that tonight is a good time to try.

..Or something like that. Well I thought it was funny at the time.

So does anyone out there remember what it was called or it just a figment of my Harveys addled mind?
