When I took a look at the stadium on Saturday the roof sheets didn't look at all translucent to me - so perhaps you're right.
Have to say it looked rather bland (although as an inhabitant of the rainswept south stand I'm not complaining).
Perhaps NATTERJACK could 'enlighten' us (pun intended).
Credit to Gus for changing his role and solving our "creative midfielder" problem. As an out and out winger he was sometimes periferal - and let's face it - you can't have two strikers and two wingers on the pitch at the same time. As I became aware of his influence on the game, I took the time...
I was at Lords for the recent test match and thought to myself how brilliant the Amex would look with all white seating. As has been said the contrast with the blue translucent roofing would be stunning.
D. Mail says we are interested in Barnsley's Iain Hume said to be worth £200,000. Preston also interested -and the player may prefer to remain 'oop north' Could he have done a job?
A lot of activity on one of the West Stand temporary arch supports. A crane is standing by expectantly. Are we about to declare the west stand officially self-supporting?
I can only think that it is there as a safety measure for when the sexy blue translusent roofing goes on. But if I remember correctly that won't happen until the temporary supports are removed and the whole structure has been left to settle down (or up) for a few days. Perhaps things are moving...
Another scoop for Mr S.
I think that the unsexy unblue untranslucent roof is only for the rear of the stand. I'm fairly sure there will be sex, blueness and translucence on the part that extends forward over the seating area.
Can anyone help - I'm trying to arrange to meet someone at a roadside pub heading west of Worthing on the A27. I recall going to one a few years ago (in Arundel area?) which was then run by boxing legend Terry Spinks. Where abouts on the A27 is it? What's it called? Is it still there? If not...
That would be a quality signing. Not a prolific goalscorer but blistering pace (if it's still there at age 30) which Gus wants. There were big financial problems with the Turkish club he plays for and he was said to be unhappy there - but that was 6 months ago.
