Totally agree with this but it has got to be put on the screen and/or handouts to every supporter outside the ground before the matches. I think it would work and it may take five or six matches but eventually it will sink in and become second nature. It would be great if we could get this going...
Read the thread again!!! Where does it say GOSBTS isn't any good What he was saying was that it wasn't sung with any passion, it never is, ask anybody.
Scouse mate, what IQ have you got? Where in the thread did I mention a scouse mate.? I don't know him from Adam. You really have got a chip on your shoulder about something haven't you.
Grow up mate.He didn't just come down to the game as I said he was down on business and got a ticket from someone at the company he was visiting. It was me who asked him what he thought of the atmosphere. It was just his opinion and he was very pro Brighton.
Sat next to a Liverpool supporter down here on business yesterday. He thought the stadium was great and ready for the Prem. His only negative was the lack of what he called a club anthem. I told him that GOSBTS was our anthem but he questioned why it wasn't sung loudly and passionately by the...
I agree with city size etc but we do have a big catchment area. It's looking like Gus can take us into the prem and then who knows into Europe. Just being in the Premier league with the likes of Man U, Arsenal etc and with the away support, 35k is definately a possibility. Weren't Saints looking...
Thats now, but you wouldn't have been so cocky back in the 1970's when they were a very serious outfit. None of these young looking guys but big ex dockers who you definately wouldn't have picked a fight with.
I think that we are possibly the only club that is at the moment still growing and with our catchment area we are capable of 40k crowds should we establish ourselves in the Premier League. Should this be the case then we must find a way of getting that many in say against teams like Man Utd...
Yes I don't think the atmosphere at a packed Goldstone will ever be matched at the Amex. Its almost too nice and sterile, plus the fact there were far more songs sung at the Goldstone. Its a great stadium nonetheless.
Exactly this, and after five seasons in the Premier league maybe other fans will think of differently of us. Until then unfortunately people will still think of us as a tinpot club with great potential. Speaking to a couple of middle aged Sheff Wednesday fans in the queue at the station they...
There are quite a few on here that have relatives in Pompey, me for one. Really do resent you being on here from my point of view, long memories and all that. Made my weekend watching Adkins face on Saturday which had that look of mmm, might not qualify for Europe this season. Really cannot...
