Liverpool will be our biggest away day since

Didn't we take about 6,000 to Palace the year we lost 5-0? apart from wembley in 91 (40,000?) and Cardiff in 2004, I guess Spurs or Villa away must be the ones.

Well done Cardiff + all the threads laughing at Palace's penalties! (merged)

What DOES CPFC stand for? Crap Penalties Favour Cardiff And before we get them all on here going on about how brave they were (Jonathan Pearce said so) - you managed zero shots on target in 120 minutes in a match you pretty much knew you would have to score in. That's not brave, that's rubbish.

Does anyone remember these 2 cult football shows?

Sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone remember a magazine called The Onion Bag? Was an offbeat football mag from the early to mid 90s. I'm pretty sure it was produced in Brighton but not sure.

Nathaniel Clyne to sign for Manchester United for £3m

I suppose it's major compared to the other cup they're (presumably) still in - the Surrey Senior Cup. As for us, we'll stick the the FA Cup/Sussex Senior Cup double, thanks.

    Thou shalt murder

This is very important but please could we go back to the Christain fundamentalists squaring off against the athiest fundamentalists? It's a fun read. The NSC Delusion - where two sets of people with opposing views think they can convince each other of their argument via a football website.

    Thou shalt murder

Wasn't that a Bill Hicks gag?

    Thou shalt murder

This is a bit of a disgusting thought but based on what I understand from this thread, if a woman was eight weeks pregnant and walking down the street and you randomly ran up to her and punched her in the stomach and she lost her baby/future baby, presumably you could only be charged with...

A thread about members who no longer appear to post on NSC

Too kind, too kind.... I wonder if it's possible for something to start as a joke, then stop being funny then go back to being funny after enormous repetition. Mind you, I suppose it would have to be funny in the first place.

A thread about members who no longer appear to post on NSC

Yeeeeah, I know but this putting him in the list is pretty much my favourite joke so I keep on sticking it in. Like Trigger calling Rodney 'Dave'.

    Trains out of London tonight

Anyone know why these incidents tend to happen in the evening rush rather than the morning one. I've had to call my wife numerous times to tell her I won't be back until got 10pm but I've never had to phone work to let them know I won't be in until after lunchtime (because of a suicide).

    Trains out of London tonight

What about people who become depressed because they're always late home and don't get to see their families? Bit of a vicious circle.

Lament the passing of the terrace

I think you've made a very eloquent case there for the return of terracing. Have terraces for those who want to stand and have seats for those who prefer to sit down. As for me, I've probably got about 15 more years of standing capability ahead of me then I'd be looking to retreat back to the...

HELP! - My iPad has been lost and I have a PHOTO of the guy who might have it

This is probably a good time to say that Paul Hayward isn’t the only national newspaper exec who has a keen love for the Albion. The one referred to here's username has now lapsed (I think) but he is on here a great deal. (It's not me by the way, obviously!)

    Venice

I found Venice to be one of those places that actually lives up to the hype. Really interesting place and when you wander around at night it's easy to imagine how things were hundreds of years previously. We found that it's fairly easy to get off the beaten track and have a great wander around...

    O/T Amir Khan

I think Khan fought the wrong fight and it left the result a lot closer than it ought to have been. Whatever happens, anullment or whatever, he needs to fight Peterson again, probably in Vegas on MSG. I agree about the deductions, he definitely got a lot of warnings but then again Peterson was...

'How to part ways with a Football Club' by Steve Cook

Is that right? £300 a week?! Or a £300 a week rise? Would a Champioship club, even the Albion, really only be paying a (newly) established first team player £300 a week (about £16,000 a year)? If so then that's a very interesting insight into just how skint we were in the early part of this...

9 inches over the line !!!!

I was bang in line with it in the WSU and it didn't look over the line - I'd appreciate the view of bhapandapops who its two rows in front and a couple of seats to the left of me but from my view along the goal line the ball never crossed it. Presumably the linesman who had the same view but...

    Local derby evening KO criticised

A couple of things jumped out for me: 1. Ipswich said they didn't want to play on Good Friday because of extra policing costs - wonder if such issues will become more regular. 2. Ipswich ticket office selling tickets to away fans. That strikes me as plain crazy. I could understand for a run of...
