One further point, Burnley away was the first time I questioned his work ethic and commitment to the cause. I have supported him all season and said he's the victim of the system gus employs but he had his chance with Vokes and his lack of movement was frankly embarrassing vs Burnley.
I personally do not think it has/will work out for CMS here and think he will be sold in the summer. The only person that should be criticised for this is Gus Poyet. To target a player like he did with CMS, spend that amount of money on him, sell the club to him, sell the style of play to him...
Absolutely, let's just hope if he does end up leaving we recoup the money we paid. Such a strange decision to sign a player that thrives on the passes in behind to run on to and then refuse to let him player any other way than with his back to goal as a lone striker.
You certainly aren't alone there. I'm not in the slating players camp but Barnes is probably our third/fourth choice centre forward so how he suddenly becomes first pick in midfield is beyond me. Navarro certainly has his uses in midfield, him and Bridcutt have put in some very solid...
He's a completely different type of player to CMS which is why they should both play together. As much as it's easy to criticise target players for their lack of pace, lack of a quick turn etc they are an important part of the game if used correctly. CMS was being made to play a role up until...
Unbelievable to lump Vokes into that group! I'm still waiting for the day when we get a 4-4-2 with CMS and Vokes up front, neither can be properly judged until then imho, amazed with CMS' patience and commitment since he signed for us.
I was watching an Al-Jazeera stream and Souness was tearing Poyet's style to shreds before the game had even started, I only wished Poyet had the opportunity to reply!
 Should people this stupid actually be allowed to post on message boards let alone attend football matches?! Please tell me you're under the age of 15 then your ramblings might just be excusable.
Also, he's still tweeting saying he basically knows nothing (bar what he's seen on twitter). Surely the club should have had a word after training? Seems very slack (if indeed the bid story is true at all).
The more I think about this the more barmy it seems, Hoskins (when fit) is probably one of the best that we could realistically expect to play that position either side/just behind CMS.
Forget the merits of Ashley Barnes, whether he should be in the team etc the fact is Hoskins is better than Barnes and will (given the same amount of minutes as Barnes) score plenty more goals and create plenty more also.
I will be gutted to see Hoskins leave and have to watch Barnes on the...
The reaction of a mate of mine to Poyet's talksport interview:
"Gus Poyet on the 'English conception' of racism and the allegations against Luis Suarez: "Just because you all drive on the right , do you expect the whole world to follow you?" "There cant be racism on an individual to individual...
I heard the boos, don't agree with it myself but after that performance I think anyone is entitled to vent their frustration as they see fit. I didn't boo or clap and just moped out frustrated with an absolutely shocking performance against a very bad Watford side.
I knew someone would mention this comparison to Dean Cox and it really does my nut!
What people don't seem to realise is that set piece takers get TOLD where to put the ball, they take the corners/free kicks because, more times than most other players, they can put the ball where the...
