We need another full back in the squad IMO, probably left sided (not as a Cucurella replacement)

we've already got backup in mitoma and march, imo we'll be fine there

I'm pretty sure Mitoma isn't a wingback let alone a full back. Maybe he could, in time,be turned into one but he's not anywhere near being one yet. I don't think March is viable as a left back either. Very good option as a wingback(either side) though.

I think there's space in the squad for another left back. Cucurella is basically a much better Dan Burn in that he can play as left centre back, left back and left wing back so there's room for both Cucurella and a new lb/lwb to play at the same time.

Yes, from what i've seen of Mitoma he's more of a right up the pitch sort of player. More of a Trossard than a Cucurella

Wise words.

It feels we are now at a crucial point - so time to reassess.

Many players have gone, including Cucurella ( just waiting the official announcement).

So, from this point :

Outs -

Andone
Scherpen
Clarke
Kozlowski ?
Duffy ? ?
van Hecke ? ?
Maupay ? ? ?

Ins -

Left ( wing ) back - vital, essential, insane not to recruit.

Defensive midfielder - probable.

Striker - if Maupay goes.

Your Outs all seem very plausible and the Ins sensible. I don't think we will spend much on any of those 3 positions. The LB is the biggest whole, ironically Burn would be ideal at this time
