well, he certainly didn't get the award for "Services To The Fashion Industry" or "Shirtwearer of the Year"...... the bloke needs a clothing makeover. Mind you his Mrs went off the rails a bit and I suppose its tough choosing shirts without your woman to help. so "Role model" ? well, the high up's at Ben Sherman will disagree

A good jewish tailor would have sorted him out

As a mixed race child, brought up purely by my white mother, in a white suburban area, I had no black role models or even any contact with black people. It thus took me many years to come to terms with my larger than average penis and advanced dancing skills.

seriously mate, did you type that, take a moment, look at it again, think 'thats f***ing funny I am well pleased with that', and then press submit, without a moment of thinking 'hmm i could make myself look a bit of a wally here'? If so, fair play ,I wish I had your misplaced confidence.

Ok. Why all this focus on American black history. Why no mention of the Jews. Over 2000 years of persecution and hardly a mention. Thats racism for you

My ex girlfriend is a teacher and I know for a fact they teach children about the holocaust, they have to be very careful when teaching it to younger children. You are being proved wrong at every turn, I suggest you do some research before jumping in withyour half baked opinions.

I didn't learn about Rosa Parks, or Martin Luther King, or Nelson Mandela at school but had a decent, ROUNDED EDUCATION nonetheless.

To take my original point further, we can all pat ourselves on the backs that the modern school curriculum is sooo much better and MORE ROUNDED than that of yesteryear, but it overlooks the fact that no fucker under 30 can spell properly!

I think some of yours and others comments is testament to the clear fact that you didn't have a rounded education.

fancying a teacher when you are 10 does not count as a relationship.

The inventor of Bagels has a lot to answer for, for the wrong reasons.

i was thinking about it this morning: in what way did any of the suggested people change the world? Im not sure Mandela even changed much outside of South Africa, the other two certainly didnt do anything that effects the lives of those in Central or South America, Africa, Asia, or Europe. this is not the detract from what they did being of immense value, but they are being held on a pedestal and this is teaching that greatness can only come from adversity. off the top of my head i reckon one of the people who have literally changed the world, is Tim Berners-Lee. thats the message to be setting kids in inner city school: work hard at school and get educated.

Confidence? Never used to have a lot as a child, til someone, a teacher as it happens, educated me, filing in gaps in my self knowledge by giving me a fuller awareness of aspects of my heritage that previously nobody had tried to. And that included using positve role models. Helped to explain why I was treated how I was etc

Reading your posts, sounds like you have, or know, some mixed race kids. If you have concerns about the agenda of some teachers in South East London and the impact of this on their education, perhaps a forum dedicated to Brighton and Hove Albion isn't the best place for you to be looking to get it addressed? Or do you have another agenda of your own?

Alloa Athletics forum is big on the politics of human fertility and how the general malaise of the libertarians may have a good deal of intellectual prestige in Eastern Europe.

Yes he was a jew. Makes me think why christianity even bothers. But I would think Anne Frank a more influential Jew? Yes I'm pressing on the holocaust again.

The holocaust is taught in schools so the Anne Frank story is often interwined with this.

The classic 'this is a football website' line. Brilliant I agree, checkmate by logic! Let's move on now and forget I mentioned it.

Can someone tell me how many pairs of gloves Perry Digweed got through in his Albion career, or perhaps bore me to tears with tales of their correspondence with Norman Baker?

I have it good authority that, York City's fans website is a hot bed of discussion about Roman Archaeology (AD 43- 410) combined with a more than passing interest in 00 Gauge model railways (Steam Only ) and preservation of Haddock stocks in the Clyde estuary.

The haddock thing was done to death in my opinion on Forfar Athletics debate on new techniques for identifying the average taxonomic range of species assemblages when applied to an extensive dataset of bottom dwelling species in the coastal waters of N.W. Europe.

Didn't they do Pelagic rather than Benthic Trophic Diversity ?
