Agreed, not arguing with you on this one. Some of the comments about him have me scratching my head.

His biggest fault for me is that he strays offside too often, but as a centre forward I want to see him in the box, not chasing down full backs, anyone who ever saw Peter Ward play knew that he would go 90 minutes without getting his shorts dirty.

I think sometimes he goes off-side because the runs he makes are not always picked up straight away by the person with the ball.

I like a forward with a bit of swagger who looks like he couldn't give a toss but makes the defence look stupid and BANGS the goals in.

I think Murray could be quality for us this season and the perfect foil for Forster.

A lot of fans who sit near me do seem to get on at him for going off-side and not running around as much as others.

I for one would rather he saved his energy for making darting runs.

As many people have voted for Gart Hart as have backed Nicky Forster.

For me that shows the alarming way in which most Brighton fans seem to value work ethic above sheer quality and ability.

He's been at the long time and he's a genuinely nice man who put himself out to make the fans feel wanted at a time when the club itself often didn't bother.

I think what you are seeing here is affection. I would have voted for him myself - specific reason concerning the kindness he showed to my son at Crowborough a few years back - but I interpreted the question as being favourite player not favourite man. My favourite player is Nicky Forster - love his attitude on the pitch and admire his skill.

I do agree with everyone his attitude stank, and may well have had a bad affect on team morale, but he was some player, and I guess proved that by starring in a couple of European Championship games, and being touted around for £millions
Problem is that that just further prove how little he could be arsed for us. Most of the time he was dire. Although he's not really a target man...

Exactly. McGhee liked to make all our centre forwards play in the same style he had as a player - with his back to goal, acting as a pivot for the attack and taking a few kicks here and there.

This was never going to be playing to Kazim-Richards and Leon Knight's strengths...

the only game he wasnt really arsed was at Rotherham. He looked like he didnt want to play, was named sub, came on anf stood on the touchline for about 8 minutes, before being substuted again.

Meanwhile during that game at half time his dad was going round saying Colin was handing in his transfer request, which he duely did and he was off.

Kuipers for me. One of the three players who were crucial in our 2002 championship triumph (alongside Zamora and Cullip). He was treated like dirt by Mark McGhee in the Kuipers vs Henderson saga but despite all the odds being against him (blatant McGhree favouritism, the car accident, etc), he was able to re-establish himself as first choice keeper while Henderson left the club crying to the newspapers about it. I agree that Wilkins not giving Kuipers the Number One jersey was bad, he must have had someone else in mind to replace Kuipers but was not able to do so, and once again Kuipers made himself the number one keeper, if not in name.

Will someone vote for Kerry I wonder?

Too right, I've supported him since his debut, have a lot of respect for him, and to that end he, closely followed by Harty for the same reasons, is my FAVOURITE player from that list.

As for the player I feel is the best, well, that would probably be from Kuipers, Elphick, Murray and Forster, but that's a different question altogether.

I answer the phone all day and deal with complaints - my team manager dosen't praise me - i'm doing my job - thats what i am paid to do

Sorry but if your manager doesn't praise you for a job well done thats just piss poor. All my staff get a thank you and well done EVERY day that we do well.

Murray for me. Think he is a quality player and will score lots of goals at this level. Would far rather have a player of his intelligence than one thant simply runs round like a headless chicken. Kuipers and Forster would be up there for me too.

As a favourite (rather than the BEST player) I see no reason why Hart should not be valued as much as Forster. No idea why it would be "alarming". Hart is a genuinely nice guy who has done a lot for the club over 10 years service. Does not mean I think he should be in the team but I see no reason why he should not be people's favourite.

Glen Murray marginally over Forster. I much prefer the excitement of goal scoring forwards over goal stopping defenders. I appreciate that the defenders are equally important but I personally find attacking players get the pulse racing more than classy defending.

MK was also close for his entertainment value when he loses his rag but since Cullip has gone it's not quite so much fun

Just because Wilkins did make statements in the press praising Kuipers, it does not mean he was not praised in the dressing room or in training.

Do you're staff get praised in front of the paying customers?

If there is a customer there or not makes no difference.

If they do well they get praised
