Indeed. And in case you stumble into stinging nettles scoping for genres I presumably detest, here are some acts I love that aren't Blissaragon Demagorgon, Velvet Acid Christ or Assemblage 23:

Chic
Madonna
Bros
Prince Far I
Sabbath
Purple
Led Zep
ZZ Top
Dusty Springfield
Sinatra
Nat King Cole
'Big' Joe Turner
Slade
The Sweet
T Rex
Eminem
NWA
Grand Master Flash...

If you want to wind me up, with something you actually like, the options are: much of Bob Dylan (but not anything from Desire), The Stones (but not anything from Aftermath), the Grateful Dead (although I'd be bored rather than annoyed), Genesis after Gabriel left, Supertramp after Crime of the Century, anything by the Strawbs (come on, somebody must like them), Barkley James Harvest, INXS, Bachman Turnip Overdrive, Bette Midler (except her duet with Tom Waites), Barbara Streisand, or indeed anything from any double or triple LP by Yes.

There are a few others and I'd be happy to award points for direct hits. As you note, it won't be easy.

I like music you see

You don't like Yessongs? You need to take a fresh guard sir... :lolol:

I love that you love The Sweet, you really are one of the good guys. But I bet you weren't as IN LOVE with Brian (sigh) as I was as a nipper. Even now the sound of his godlike voice makes my skin tingle.

Alas poor Brian. Undelivered from temptation. Wham Bam :(

This is a bit shit, in my view. but even so, with the passage of time....it has a certain charm....is there nothing that isn't Joe Dolce that I don't like. A tiny bit.

Hang on. go to 1.45. Ha ha! This is squelchy dog shit after all!

Given a recently professed dislike of the Byrds, The Everlys and Emmylou's mate Dolly, I'd guess that H may not see the charms of this wonderful bit of ear candy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fCTZ0ZnD44

I dunno though... Surely nobody who actually loves music can dislike ELH's voice can they? Linda Ronstadt's cover of 'When Will I Be Loved' would have been a safer bet, but the OP asked for a favourite and I can't honestly say that was one of Linda's best moments. This is though and was written by a Monkee too:

4/10. A bit shit but not toenail pullin'.

Mrs T blew the gaff earlier when she mentioned that I hate singer songwriters. This is largely true.

The one who died, and whose son drowned.
Warren Zeavon
Julie something.
Christa Berg
Streets of London
Kenny Rogers

They can all far cough.

I like Billy Bragg, though.
And Neil Young

That halleliluja bloke though. Just no.

Plenty to work with there. That's my last clue.

Nailed it. 9

(Many years ago, when I was walking the wild side with a very peculiar woman, the 'Love Zone' on LBC was the last thing we listened to before we unleashed the devices, as FV Zappo would call them. This sort of shit was on the radio playlist. It juxtaposed rather nicely with the sound of ****** **** ** *******. I'll say no more ???).

I like this track (not exactly a favourite...), and perhaps HWT might not be that keen. However, it's really an excuse to post the vid which shows a piece of attire at 0.05 that almost everyone here will love. Apologies if fixtures.

Top work. That (in my not very humble opinion) is dog shit. But white rather than brown. 6/10

Morning Harry, well You don't like Yes so I would be interested to hear your opinion of the other Prog Gods Pink Floyd?

Personally I loved most things they did 1967-75 i.e. up to Wish You Were Here. I'm clearly a bit weird as my favourite is the widely reviled Atom Heart Mother.

After they became Roger Water's Backing Band on the Wall they became pretty well unlistenable?
