I don't know what to say! I love this song ... in fact I'm playing it now ... very loud
When you've finished with that, fill your boots with this!

So you can honestly describe yourself as a fan? I find that hard to believe. Unless you're a lady
Big Leonard Cohen fan, yep. And definitely not a lady. A lot of guys love his music.
So what or who is HWT?
Big Leonard Cohen fan, yep. And definitely not a lady. A lot of guys love his music. Let's have something different. Can't help liking this and not sure why. Probably something to do with Corfu 1981.

A big favourite of my ex wife. She once paid a tout £200 for a ticket to see him in London. It was a fake ticket
I'll give you 8/10 for that. I've never liked him. In his favour, he didn't record the very most hideous version of Hallelujah.
As a singer songwriter, for me, he's right up there with the very most self-regarding and tedious.
Any you honestly like him?
The only version of Halleujah worth anything is John Cale's.
Much to the disgust of my Young Ones watching teenage self, I don't mind some of Leonard's songs, but preferably in small doses. I recently watched Nick Broomfield's film about him and Marianne Ihlen and came away having a lot less time for him. His life came across as an endless pursuit of his own self interest and he seemed to be enabled by loads of others who were convinced of his genius. His treatment of the women in his life seemed quite shoddy and unfortunately, fairly typical of a lot of feted male artists of that period. Left me thinking that John Lydon was right - Never trust a hippy...
It does nothing for me but I don't loath it like I thought I might. Back in the day when the hairy cornflake was drooling over them in hushed tones (if it's possible to drool hushed) I would have wanted to stab that record in the face, but now.....2/10.
I'm still waiting for something egregiously horrible that someone genuinely likes.
OK, I'll post this track which means it is now void. Void, void void. Truly truly hateful

I love this track by John Miles.
Ya boo, Harry.
I’m going to play it really loudly so you’ll be able to hear it in Faversham.
It has to be something you genuinely like. I can't believe you like that. It's on a par with Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.
I gather that some people genuinely like Devo and Lene Lovic. I can just about believe that. But the above, no. Sorry, no.
I know all the lyrics too, they also have another scorcher that you’re sure to love…

I played it LOUD earlier too ... maybe if we both play it again then Harry will hear a superb stereo version in Faversham.
I've seen John Miles 3 times live ... so I've probably gone way down in HWT's estimation. In fact ... in the words of UFO (who I also saw live back in the 1970's), I've probably hit ...
