Bars why are you so obsessed with Nibble?

Bars is Susan, 43 from Lewes. She is unemployed and has a grudge against me because I met her on a corporate film set once and supposedly ignored her. She was a trainee make up artist but word of her stalking tendancies got round the film community and she cannot get any work. She also turned up at the Directors office several times when she became besotted with him. She is a nutjob and that is why she is obsessed and also why she no longer works but spends all day on here pestering me.

Hello Susan . You should have given me a shout when I was asking for a make up artist on here. Would have got up close and personal with Mr Nibble.

I, for one, agree whole-heartedly with your sentiments (even about the spineless English team ).

Too many people think that a job in Government is as valuable as one in the private sector. Yes, we need civil servants and politicians, but the state doesn't create wealth. It destroys it. Thatcher had it right; make the state lean and let private enterprise create the wealth. One thing that the 'lefties' always omit is how does a tax-and-spend government actually help to create economic growth.

This countrys 'growth' over the last 10 years has been built on borrowing money on booming house prices. Why are house-prices booming? Only due to lack of supply. So people then spen all of this'wealth' on foreign holiday, other countries manufactured goods, etc. At some time, the country has to pay it's way.

Gordon Brown has been a very, very luck (but hugely incompetent) chancellor, and a pathetic Prime Minister.

and yet when private industry booms, so does the public sector - look at peterborough - stuffed to the gills with newly arrived Eastern Europeans, this has seen a rapid increase in cafes, hotels etc caternig to them, bringing more money in and more eastern europeans - inevitably leading to a significant rise in the need for public services, paid for by increased tax to be collected from these new business.

Best solution for you is to emigrate.

by the way, in view of your anti benefit rant, assume you won't be collecting the child benefit or the £250 trust fund grant!!!!!

On the bright side, it's Tuesday tomorrow.

NIbble far be it from me to judge you BUT:

What basis have you to suggest I review our interview proceedure.

I have interviewed somewhere in the region of 45 people in the last four weeks and incidentally our business has a turnover of less than 18% which is 3x below the industry average.

You dont know what industry I am in, what our company does, how many people we employ or what the terms or conditions are of working here.

None of those fundamental facts seem to be matter to you beofre you get on your soapbox making suggestions in a patronising and childish manner.

But then that is what this board is for I guess. Worrying that you take the General Melchett approach of refusing to let bare facts stare you in the face before making a decision or judgement - so back to the ranks for you dear boy.

I don;t read the Daily Mail, I do like hundreds of thousands of Scotttish people vote Convservative - not that that has been particularly compelling in recent years becuase i vote for party politics, policies and not for the person - which sadly is becoming harder and harder.

Fair enough. However, I wasn't saying you have a high turnover, I was saying if you did have a high turnover best to review yuor interviewing policies.

Please bear in mind that most of my opionions about the housing market are born of envy and petty jealousy mainly due to the fact that I cannot raise enough capital to buy my own property.

We've done the England thing on another thread but I'll tell you something - the proof of how spineless, woeful and inadequate England team is at the moment is more apparent by the day - and I love it.

Sick of the supercilious comments on here by some of the intellectually-challenged bunters who make statements as if they were fact - and that's a fact.

We're all going down the toilet under this government and every one of you pinko-liberals who have crucified unpopular Tory Governments in the last 30 years should hang your head in shame.

Between you, the PC brigade and the holier than thou let's love thy neighbour mob, you have helped create a society encourage highly geared borrowing among the jobless, removed any moral fibre this country has every managed to cling on - and your anti-capitlist stance has turned this economy and this country into a utter compost.

This is the West - for the last 300 years our society has been a capitalist economy - and now you will have us sitting under a cardbox box eating bamboo shoots with all the other herberts and hippies and low-lifes who scrounge, steal and malinger.

INcapacity benefit?? I'll give you incapacity benefit. Chop your f***ing legs off and poke your eyes out. Thats incapacity you guttersluts.

Sing-on - I'll help you sign-on - for a one way ticket to Harare, or the Sudan, or Baghdad - where people are incapacitated.

Taxed throught eyeballs, cant have a fag, a drink or fill a car up without being rogered royally, CCTV watching me have a dump, what my bank account looks like, am I driving at 28 or 32 mph, coppers who will nick for you for not filling up a bin but not bat an eyelid if you beat an old lady up or abouse a child.

What is the point. I mean really - why bother. From the inane guff on here half of you think this is acceptable, a good proposrtion are more concerned about whether you'll ever get your leg over - Aids - for Chirst sake pay a whore cos at the rate you're going you'll be paying tax for sex.

I mean look at the tea-dance that Falmer turned into. THat is another example of how ludicrous and incapable this country has turned into.

Graduates- don't get me started on that.

I tell you this - what is the bloody point of a degree these days - and people have the temerity to come here and ask about what they should do!!! Bloody hell, what did you go to university for? If you need to come on here and ask where you should go to work experience or whings as to why you are struggling to find a job having been to university - you've missed the bloody point.

Half the degrees are a waste of time - arrogant little tossers waltze into my office telling me that they should really be given a basic of £30k becuase they went to university.

Get a grip and come to planet earth you smelly unwashed little tykes. Telling me that becuases you made a 5 minute media video about new bandsin the Berlin music scene is irrelevant - what right does that give you fucktard to tell me what you should be paid?

This is meltdown - armegeddon, the end of the world as we know it.

It's all unravelling and you know what. Everyone of us is to blame.

We are all doomed.

And its only Monday, I'm 75% short of target this quarter with the last day on Friday, my other half is pregnant, I have not had sex for 3 months, my money goes into other peoples pockets and I have had enough.

Have a wank.

you're better off that way Nibble.

What's the point of buying at the moment - unless you are in the minority and have capital to hand _ and I mean your capital, unemcumbered interest free capital.

Cash is King especially in times like this so my very personal opinion (before I get flamed) is that you are just as well investing in rented property as it is not just about the price of property.

The credit crunch real issue is the quality of mortgage that you will get at the moment - requires signifcant down payment, tying up capital that could be better employed elsewhere (for instance I have some cash into investments in certain PE back business which are paying dividends at the momoment with a very quick flip time)

Property will always be a good investment - just a question of not slaying yourslef financially on the vehicle that you end up using to invest in said property.

At the moment you will probably get a gash mortgage that will knacker you for some years to come. Hold on, keep your powder dry and watch the market.

Although this is the problem - evreyone is doing this so stagflation hits - no-one has the cash, courage or confidence to do anything.

Difficult - but dont be envious - now is not a bad time to be unincumbered

Far superior to the bacon ones, in which the bacon is all too frequently underdone.

I actually agree with a lot of what you say, especially about the police unfortunately, what ever happened to police walking the streets keeping a general eye on things and trying to stop trouble before it goes too far, where are they when someone is being beaten to a pulp - usually six cars full of them waiting to catch the dreaded 32mph drivers, dont care what anybody says driving at 32mph is nowhere near as dangerous as some hooded chav scum beating people up because they are wearing the wrong clothes or something equally stupid.

Congrats on the baby by the way

A lot of folks have given the same advice. I do have the chance to buy land in cornwall without having to borrow so that will do for me now!

Cheers

And what about music radio stations.

Why the f*** does it take more than one person to introduce a disc. My life is spent switching between stations to avoid innane conversations in the studio, phone-ins and f***ing quizzes.

Just play some music, that's why we tune in.
