I was being sarcastic???? :jester:
I didn't mention anything about a 'better fan than you' that this joker is laying on me.
I simply stated the facts, and that we'd been let down!
Then he starts on his personal circumstances - sorry - it aint my fault you have to work on a Saturday!

I'm only openly gloating because you are being so unbelievably precious about the whole situation.

My opinion - as clearly stated else where:

Why should I, who has to work every Saturday, not get an equal opportunity to see the game as someone who gets to see the team every week?

Having to work Saturdays doesn't make me any less of a fan than you.

You,ve just said you work EVERY Saturday....so why do you need a ticket for the West Ham game...?....or is it , that this particular game means you,ll be bothered to take time off, but at the Withdean....well , not really worth it , it seems to me......Yes, I,m with Coach 100% on this one.

CLUB STATEMENT

AWAY MATCHES – FUTURE TICKET POLICY

A number of season ticket holders wrote to the club following the sale of tickets for our recent FA Cup Game against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. The comments related to the way in which tickets were allocated and we received a number of constructive suggestions for future away matches that are likely to be over-subscribed. The background circumstances are as follows:

What we tried to achieve in allocating the Tottenham tickets – given that demand was way in excess of supply – was to be as fair as we could to both season ticket holders and to those supporters who travel to away games on a regular basis supporting the club up and down the country.

We have analysed the pattern of ticket sales over all our away games this season and it shows that, excluding the Tottenham game, on average 11% of our total season ticket holders go regularly to away games. For the Tottenham game the demand was far greater, but nevertheless 42% of all season ticket holders obtained a ticket. But a number of season ticket holders were disappointed.

To make sure therefore that in future high-demand away games a sufficient number of tickets are made available to season ticket holders, we will set aside for these supporters 50% of the total tickets we are given by the home club.

There will be a fixed period of 7 days for season ticket holders to apply for these tickets on the basis of one per season ticket holder. The same will apply for tickets set aside for Away Members who do not have a season ticket. The 7 days will hopefully overcome the problem encountered by supporters whose applications were delayed in the Christmas post.

If the game becomes oversubscribed, we will deal with the applications on a first-come first-served basis within each category. After 7 days any unsold tickets will be released for new Away Members.

We hope by adopting this Away Ticket policy you will be reassured that the process is as transparent as we can make it. We believe that it is fair to both season ticket holders, without whom the club cannot survive, but also to those who spend a great deal of money and time providing what is without doubt the best away support in the Football League.

Did you complain about this ticketing policy when it was announced?

If not then you shouldn't really be complaining now.

Anyway, enough of this foolishness, I'm off to do a real job. Watch lil' coach play football. Even if my toes do go blue and fall off.....

Have a smashing xmas everyone and please wave to us from across the pitch, as we get lumped over the head after applauding a good Btn move rather too loudly!!
egh, you could even start a sweepstake on which minute it'll happen in!

Yours, packing plasters and bandages in readiness,

Mrs C.

The 100 STH who applied at Swansea via the special bins were too f***ing slow? Including me?
Piss off!

I have just received a call from a STH who included 4 away stubs for millwall and ams stuff etc, he put his application in the swansea bin as requested by the club and he has not had his card debited yet.

I hope he is not one who has missed out.

As someone who falls into both categories and seemingly not getting West Ham tickets despite posting our applications on the Tuesday, I've now got no intention of renewing either of our two season tickets or continuing our two Heroes and Winners subscriptions.

My physical support of the Albion will continue tomorrow at Port Vale, but the financial support stops now. I never thought that I'd see this day.

There needs to be some serious re-thinking done by the Albion here. A number of STH,s are seriously considering there financial committment to the Albion. I,ve always been of the opinion that a "supporter" is someone who regularly goes to watch the Albion home and/or away. Someone who likes the Albion, but for one reason or another (work commitments, expense, etc etc.) doesn,t watch them on a regular basis , is an "admirer".( much the same as all the kids who locally run around in Chelsea , Man Utd and Arsenal shirts , but never actually see them play). For what it,s worth, I think very highly of all these "admirers". god knows it was wonderful to see 25,000 of them at Cardiff.I,m sure that if we get Falmer, and maybe one day get into the Premiership, many of these "admirers" will convert to "supporters"..(probably work commitments, expense etc etc will not be such an obstacle to overcome then...). Until then, I firmly belive, on a moral basis, that "supporters" are way ahead of "admirers" in the queue for tickets to West Ham. I don,t entirely blame the Albion for the present situation.....but coming on this board and abusing the understable frustrations of "supporters" by "admirers" is ....................very disappointing.
