[Albion] Yes we have injuries but tactically that was garbage, again.

Proves the value of the OP (if I do say so myself). When a team has parked the bus and you steal possession high up or get a turnover of the ball and break, take advantage of the unexpected space. Instead we turned back and slowed the ball down over and over and allowed Brentford back in position to re-park the bus.
Agree. We have to move that ball faster. Once we turn back Brentford have all 11 players behind the ball again and we are back to square one

How come they looked more threatening in attack than we did then?

Because the 3 counter attacked against a team (us) that plays an advanced game. They had some space.

Fulham, Villa, West Ham, Everton …. all do the same. Potter then RDZ just can’t set up to play that way, not in their DNA or ethos.

It does make me wonder is RDZ is a great manager or just a good manager who had great players last year?
De Zerbee OUT!

We just drew with a side that decided to slice Man Ure a new one and failed to win by a throw of the dice. And Bentford managed to hang on.

I'm bored with our entitled element.

Exactly this. They parked the bus a few days after attacking United. How much does that say about how we are viewed these days?
We are viewed as better than ManUre
Which we are. Fact.

We were so poor tonight. Too slow, laborious and lacking ambition. If we win tonight we go 7th. Instead we went backwards, sideways and never tried to take on a man.

People will point to possession stats and shots and RDZ will say we deserved to win but we didn’t.

In the last six games we have scored 3 goals. Two individual wonder strikes and an own goal.

Yes we are short of attacking players but pace of play, tactics and formation are on the coach and tonight just didn’t work, as with too many games recently.

This is not a RDZ out post, nowhere near, but if that had been Potter he would have been slaughtered. We needed a win, we didn’t ever look like getting one and it wasn’t good enough.
Utter bollocks.

Actually, I remember going through almost exactly the same phase with Potter. The problem is, as soon as Potter worked it out he f***ed off to Chelsea thinking he’d cracked football management and the trophies would roll right in.

I trust in RDZ to be pragmatic enough to adapt, though it may take him some time. My fear is that he Potters off and gives a different team the benefit of his newfound knowledge.

He’ll only move to a club with a far superior squad than Albion 2023/24.

ManC face mass deep defence like Villa tonight, but have world class player to unlock it.

Yeah mate we were. Two reasons you don’t think so:

1. You are one of those who have been brainwashed to think just because we have loads of possession and shots we played well.

2. You still use the Gillingham/Withdean era as your benchmark.

That was poor.
1. My brain is always dirty.

2. Do I? Mmmmm.......yyyyyy...no. No I don't. I don't. Ilve in the here and now.

I look forward to seeing you on the Old Shoreham Road, next to the CND bloke, and the women with a pram full of bricks, with your 'De Zerbee out!' banner next Tuesday.

Villa's set up tonight vs Citeh is similar to Brentford, yet even without Haaland and De Bruyne they have plenty of quality to score 4 goals. It os all about quality, and I felt we looked like an average side. We are so missing the 24 goals that Mac, Trossard and March brought us last season. Not kids, not elder statesmen, but quality players in their prime.
It's baffling how many people don't see this. Throw in another 15 or so assists and you realise why we are struggling. Our lack of width, especially when Lamptey and Pervis aren't fit enough to start, kills us.

It wasn't good tonight but we totally bossed the game, never looked like conceding, and would have won if Welbeck had his shooting boots on. It certainly wasn't a tactical disgrace.

Some of these Potter obsessed goons that keep popping up really must have hated watching Solly and Mitoma tear teams a new one last yeat, because they couldn't credit their hero. Pathetic

The problem, as we all know, is that the RDZ way involves two attacking wingers to make the pitch wide and create space in the middle. Unfortunately we don't really have a Plan B. The lack of Mitoma (and March) has been a serious handicap this season.
Are we a 2 man team ?
