Hasn’t played a single minute for us since returning from international duty- and now travelling with the international team.
Maybe he is fit but just can't get into our matchday squad? No I don't really think that's it, but given our current embarrassment of riches it IS a possibility - especially as, unlike Beleba, he is apparently fit for international duty.

Just a thought

As probably noted elsewhere, Minteh's Gambia can no longer make AFCON in Dec 2025/Jan 26.

(Ghana also out)

Being completely BHAFC orientated - TFFT.

We've had a fair few injured on international duty and so not dicing with that particular possibility mid season is a blessing - not one that even needs a disguise, never mind the weeks he'd have been away in the middle of the season.

Indeed. Not only about those weeks either but players that live in Europe very often suffer from stomach bugs etc during and after the cup. I asked a Swedish-Gambian defender about it a few years ago and he said its difficult not to lose weight and energy when you're at the AFCON. There's actually quite a lot of African players in Europe who don't want to go to AFCON because they return sick and it fucks up their season.

We still have the potential to lose Baleba, Adingra and Sima as their respective nations have all qualified. The tournament starts just before Xmas next year so it could be a tough festive period.

Genuine question, how many of those three will still be with us by that point?

In an ideal world Adingra and Baleba. Would be nice to see what we could achieve with Carlos at the heart of our midfield for more than a season. Sima is more of an unknown given he’s always been out on loan.

A decent write up.
They clearly haven't read NSC. He's shite. Just another headless chicken. Waste of £30m etc etc

I’ve given him many chances but he just seems to always make the wrong pass or run into dead ends.
Hopefully I’ll eat my words but don’t think he’s up to it.

As I’ve said all season, he scares defenders and makes things happen. Raw but incredibly exciting and unbelievable potential.

Should be starting every game for me (like Rutter), he’s just a much better and more dangerous player than the lightweight and innefectual Adingra. Gruda’s got lots of potential too but I think he will be better in the middle in the long run.

Horses for courses.

Adingra is clearly our 2nd best left winger. He is just mostly ineffective when not playing that role. I thought Adingra was pretty good this evening apart from the miss. But several (including Georginio, Lamptey, Gruda and soon, March) are now ahead of him at right wing.

His pace makes things happen. His lack of actual skill makes things not happen. Def not a regular starter for me until he learns to pass to someone in stripes at the right time.
