There was something said as they have now issued an apology something about filling ya car and jerry cans. But your not allowed strictly to store a jerry can full as it's deemed unsafe

It showed some wally on the news very proud of the half dozen jerry cans of petrol in the boot of his car. If somebody were to run into the back of him it'd be carnage.

On a purely selfish point, I hope that we can't get any petrol for a year or so. This Government (and Government's in the past) have been greedy bastards for many many years in the respect of the fuel duty they cream off for themselves. The price of Petrol is shocking these days. I would quite happily live without a car for a while.

Good luck to all those seeking the car juice though.

Hmmm. I went to my local petrol station this time last night and quite forgot to fill up. Maybe it was the absence of queues or the fact that there seemed to be enough fuel in the tank to keep going without worrying. Bought some fags, though. Have you SEEN what's happened to the price?

I blame the government. Or maybe it's all in my mind, too.

It must be in my mind as apparently there is no problem.

Went to my local independent garage this morning, filled the farm car up and got my usual red diesel for my tractor and generator (we're off grid) returned this evening and was driving the wife's car , which never got any juice, so filled that up as per usual in total spent 250 quid and no one around either time. Asked about shortages and because I'm a registered user, of red, I'll be fine as they will keep a reserve.

Moral of this is to support you local garage and f*** the big boys.

I think it's illegal, unless you happen to keep it in a shed 3 acres away from the paddock and manor house.

You'll never the Daimler's fuel light flash, that's for sure.

We're all in it together, my bloody arse.

Were they in power when you were at school? Perhaps you could also sue them for giving you such a poor education.

I filled up last night as I was on fumes, no queue where I went either, should last me a good couple of weeks as I hardly use the car. I'll bet the wife hasn't filled her car up though.

I am currently doing a 250 mile round trip to work a tank of diesel is only good for 2 days,i will be fcuked next week if the stations do not get refilled.

Popped out to my local Tesco where the queues were bigger than normal, in that there were actually cars waiting.

Curiously no-one was waiting at the 'Pay@Pump' so I drove up and filled up and was soon heading away. That means I can not get back to Sussex tomorrow. Will I be able to get back to Somerset on Saturday evening though?

I got a full tank to ket me to Somerset Saturday evening, but not sure if there will be enought in there to get us back t Brighton ???

Is it getting to the stage where we should be embarrassed to put fuel in our vehicles yet?

I fueled up yesterday without queuing (I did need some)... What is all the fuss about anyway?

Maybe I should buy 20 loaves of bread tomorrow coz I heard that it may snow next week :lolol::facepalm:

Be interesting to know when the poll was carried out as I presume this was before the ministers suggested panic buying. Could be slightly different as most of the mugs that went on a panic spree will probably just see the headlines about union bashing and how only 2000 people are holding the country to ransom!!!!

Had to go to Cobham yesterday, and only had 90 miles left on the chariot, so went into what used to be the Shell garage in Uckfield, topped the beast up, £85 but their price has gone down to 140.9 for diesel, even cheaper than Asda and Tesco in Eastbourne.
When I was in leafy Surrey, aveage price was 149.9/litre.
Went past today, forecourt was busy, about 4 vehicles queuing per pump, but noticed it was 140.8.
Just hope all my work that comes in, is local till this fuc up by Cameron and his rabble is over.
