Peacehaven is pretty grotty, Brighton seems to have spent the past couple of decades in terminal decline. Do Portslade, Southwick and Mile Oak even count? All very unpleasant. But my award goes to Crawley.

Crawley is dire but at least the shopping centres not bad.

Grew up in Worthing never found it too bad really but has lost something in the last 5 years what with all the cr@p chains pubs etc and an increase in chavs.

Bognor - now that gets it for me a fcuking dull as dishwater seaside holiday town with about two pubs and nothing of much intrest bar a Butlins which becomes a annex of Sunderland in the summer.

Depends on your point of view, if you like good beer then the Linden tree was the place to be, unfortunately all the 'middle class wankers' that kinky keeps on about used to gothere. It may have changed in the last couple of years. To be fair all the pubs were fine.
