Worst referee performance I have ever seen

The way I see that after looking at it a few times is this.

At first, at the game I was shocked and fuming at the ref.

First time I saw it on TV, thought the ref may have been right.

Now, including seeing that, I think Barnes went to go in strongly but fairly for the ball. Saw the Burnley player come flying in and kept his feet in the air to avoid having his leg brocken only to land on their player, who I can only imagine thought Barnes was trying to stamp on him.

Ref sees that reaction and comes to the same, but incorrect conclusion.

Sent from my Nexus S using TapaTalk while bashing one out.

How he did'nt see the challenge as two footed from behind is amazing, where was the fourth official this time as he managed to see the first and wanted to be involved.

Joke

Are The complete badger and hustpierpoint one and the same?
I thought our lads battled valiantly and the crowd were magnificent today. I won't comment any further about the dickhea.....oops I mean ref, as enough has been said already.

Have I missed something? Both were straight clear reds.....the punch by Vincelot and jumping in studs high by Barnes.....both avoidable and when you watch tv tonight you will agree.
The ref missed a few things, but otherwise OK.....come on guys take your blue and white goggles off. FACT: We have a serious disciplinary problem that Gus needs to sort out quickly.
Crowd were great today and the nine men battled like heroes....but come on we don't help ourselves. Stop blaming the ref all the time.

You diid'nt think the challenge on Barnes was two footed?

You think the Burnley player involved with Vincelot also did nothing?

Harsh red's and for them not to get even one let alone a card for their involvements is just shocking.

It's true that they could have been punished more severely and possibly would have been on another day but that doesn't alter the fact that not one but two of our players got (rightly) sent off in the first twelve minutes which given our current form and our disciplinary record is nothing short off f***ing disgraceful. The fact that Poyet and Tano continue to wind up the players and the crowd further plus subjecting the officials to a non stop barrage of abuse and criticism doesn't help us. It may be understandable (in parts) but today showed a complete lack of discipline and professionalism from the management and the players.

Burnley were shockingly bad and today could have been the day we came good and gave someone a spanking but it wasn't and now we have to go into the holiday period two players short.

Ignoring our sending offs whats your view on the Burnley player who placed his hands on El-Abds throat/face? Slap & Tickle?

And it is ok to deliberately try to handball the ball into the net. Burnley would be good in a basketball league.

There were just so many which went the wrong way. Trying to score a goal using deliberate handball is a straight red card, so I believe is the official rule (qualified ref but happy for someone to prove me wrong), and there's no doubt whatsoever that was deliberate.

Grabbing someone by the throat, even if in reaction to a foul, and throwing them to the floor is a red card. Where's the consistency? Given this was the chap who sent off Sparrow for a push to the chest last season.

The Noone 'penalty' call, surely the way he went down either a booking or a penalty? It wasn't shoulder to shoulder, it was either a trip or a dive, nothing inbetween.

My reaction for the Barnes red card was that both should've gone, definitely their player, guess i'll have to wait until FLS tonight. Didn't see the Vincelot debacle, so can't comment.

Leyton Orient away 2 seasons ago. Game where Poyet got sent off was possibly worse.
That referee made me very ANGRY that day.

You saw Gus and Tanno winding up the players and abusing the officials today? You must have gone to a different match to me. Gus walked away rather than lose his rag and didn't comment on the officials after the game.
Regardless of whether Barnes went in dangerously or not, the Burnley player reacted with his hands on Barne's throat, so he should have walked. The rules state that if you raise your hands, you're off.

Christ Id forgotten about the handball. We were debating whether it was a sending off offence or not. Additionally, the very next move a Burnley player deliberately handballed and did not even get a booking.

Listen fella, I didn't say they were sending offs or not, but the ref was very very biased. If our two should have gone, then why did they have 11 men still after a two footed challenge and two of our lads were grabbed by the throat? Noone should have had a penalty (yes he looked for it, but there was definite contact) The officials today were a disgrace, and you won't convince me otherwise.

Different views from around the ground will have different opinions. From the South it looked like Barnes was fouled, Noone WAS tripped in the area and the referee was a great big ****

I was in at the top of the lower west, in line with the Barnes incident and it looked a straight forward off the ground lunge at the ball which went straight through their player. Even before the decision, I thought he would be lucky to stay on.

Referee biased? A disgrace? Mate, have you been to many football matches? After the two incidents, we were diving and holding onto our faces like we had been shot (tarro/El Ab in particular). The Noone penalty....possibly, seen some given some not. All I am saying is the ref was not that bad and I get embarrassed at times when we start diving and holding faces/knees instead of just getting on with it.
Having said that, 100% better than the Forest performance and I was proud of all nine of them. Gus.....please don't storm off when you don't agree with something, not professional and not exactly what the players need when there is a crisis!

I didnt see the Vin incident and thought Barnes was fair game but the lack of anything for the Burnley player was a disgrace. What was shocking was the assault on Noone which didn't even get a free kick later in the first half. The ref totally lost it.
